Conversion killers? some are more obvious than others, some are also costing you more than others. Some exist without you knowing. Are you checking your website on multiple devices? As I was ordering something online today I came to this checkout page. It's in Dutch, but the main issue is clear from the screenshot. The issue here is that the names of each field is only partly shown on screen. I couldn't move it left to right, I basically didn't know what to fill in or where. A clear conversion killer and bad user experience if you ask me and something you probably would spot in an analytics audit, in session recording replays or when doing a device audit. The checkout is such an important step in the process - any improvement made here directly means additional $$$ and an improved experience for your users. Since I'm at it, another thing to improve (or test). This form has a yellow block with the text "Fields with a * are required fields". Since humans like to be in control it might be better to not "force" them but rather remove all stars and add (optional) behind the optional field. What's the worse Conversion killer you've experienced recently? =============== I'm Omar Lovert and I write about CRO, Klaviyo and CVO let's connect 🤝

In my experience, these things usually happen during maintenance, not when the page design is first implemented - quite often in a completely unrelated change - thanks CSS! Monitoring your checkout funnel metrics is crucial to detect unexpected drops in conversion like the ones caused by this one. If losing hours or days of revenue to issues like this is not an option, set up alerts in GA or get a real-time monitoring app like Revend if the activity in your shop fluctuates throughout the day and the days of the week. Awesome CRO tip on optional vs required Omar Lovert!

The checkout process is make-or-break for conversions. Ensuring fields are fully visible on all devices is crucial. As for conversion killers, I recently struggled with a site where the 'Add to Cart' button was hidden below the fold on mobile. Simple tweaks like these can make a big difference in user experience and sales. Thanks for raising awareness on this!
