“Do you know what Ampliphy is?” Uhhh, no. When I first joined Aleph, Eden Shochat sent me a doc called “Welcome to Aleph” that outlined specific guiding principles. One of them was that we are not self-congratulatory. We don’t brag about ourselves. We don’t pat ourselves on the back. We don’t talk about how amazing we are. It’s just not the brand of Aleph. It sounds right, right? But it poses some real challenges when trying to market anything we do, especially our greatest differentiator, Ampliphy. We want to shout to the world about how we built this in-house software operating system that is actually changing the trajectory of our portfolio companies and talk about all the impact, but we can’t. Because it’s super braggy. Super self congratulatory. And our entire brand is built upon living by our values. But Ampliphy is our differentiator. So we have to talk about it somehow. We decided to capitalize on the fact that we do such a bad job talking about Ampliphy that most of our founders don't even know what it is. Oops. Turns out this is actually great (aha, maybe we planned this all along?!) because as you’ll see from this video, Ampliphy hums along in the background, moving the needle without creating noise for the founder.
