𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 I’m not sure where this is going to go, but here we go… In December 2023, a business partnership I was working on fell through out of nowhere. This partnership would’ve produced around $60K/yr in revenue for me. I was disappointed for several reasons: #1: I was the one who initiated the partnership because Holy Spirit prompted me to. From the first conversation it just seemed to flow. It felt right. The talks were informative and fruitful. #2: The partnership was the perfect fit for me and the organization. They are familiar with my work, so we were creating a pathway to coach their leaders via trainings and group events, helping them generate more revenue in their businesses while building the capacity of the organization. #3: I have the utmost respect for the CEO, and I was excited about the opportunity to work with them and their team because they’ve done so much to support the entrepreneur ecosystem locally and nationally. When I got the news that the partnership wasn’t going to happen it stung a little bit, but God immediately reminded me that He alone is my source, and that I didn’t lose anything. This experience confirmed that stewarding His influence looks different based on the circumstance. In this instance, it looked like embracing the sting of the moment, not allowing myself to feel rejected, and sending an email to the organization thanking them for sharing their time with me. Sometimes Holy Spirit will prompt you to do something that may not turn out the way you want it to, but the win is not always the prize. Sometimes the prize is your obedience and who you become in the process. #KeepGoing
