Looking forward to this one! With fixation on Fire Safety and Structural aspects to satisfy #SafetyCases we may be overlooking a glaring opportunity to enhance our understanding and management of risk across the #BuiltEnvironment #CarbonEfficiency #ESG #DampandMould
Carbon Architecture, part of Bellrock Group, are sponsoring The UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard Event. The event, which is taking place tonight, is hosted by the IoD Property and Built Environment Group and will include an update by the Senior Advisor on Net Zero Carbon Buildings for UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), Tom Wigg, alongside fantastic networking opportunities for those committed to achieving sustainability in the built-environment. The UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard is a cross-industry initiative which is creating a single, agreed methodology to enable the industry to robustly demonstrate that their built assets are net zero carbon and in line with the UK’s climate targets. Carbon Architecture alongside Bellrock CEO Paul Bean and Oakleaf Surveying Ltd’s Director of Fire, Graham Oliphant MIFireE MIIRSM MIFSM MIFPO M.ISRM will be in attendance. #Sustainability #IoD

Eden, New Bailey is the winner of the Unlock Net Zero ‘Building of the Year’ Award. Congratulations to everyone involved. Great to see such impressive sustainability credentials recognised with this prestigious award. We’re proud RVK connectors and REDiBOX were chosen by OBR Construction Group to support precast stair landings by O'Reilly Precast Ltd in both the Feature stairs and the Firefighting stairs. To find out why pinned connectors were used throughout: https://bit.ly/3Rl7zB1 Designed by Make Architects with structural engineering by Woolgar Hunter Engineers, Eden is among the top 1% of new buildings in the UK for sustainability. The project team undertook early-stage, whole-life, and upfront embodied carbon assessments to eliminate waste and reduce the building’s whole carbon footprint. As one of the UK’s most environmentally friendly office buildings, Eden features Europe’s biggest green wall: a living façade to remove air pollutants, reduce urban temperatures and improve biodiversity. #UnlockNetZero #Sustainability #Construction #SpeedSafetyStrength #ConnectWithUs

🌍Earth Day 2024...♻ Here at Elevate Modular Solutions, we are committed to building a greener future. Through our sustainable construction practices, we are doing our part to minimise emissions and waste associated with construction, with a reduction of up to 70% compared to traditional construction methods!🏗 Our units are energy-efficient, using LED lighting and double insulation (on units with external cladding) to get the utmost in efficiency and sustainability. Meticulous planning and precise measurements result in the fabrication of modules with exact quantities of materials needed. Unlike traditional construction methods, where excess material often ends up as waste, our modular approach ensures that every resource is utilised efficiently. With every project, we aim to not just construct buildings but to create environmentally responsible spaces that benefit both our clients and the planet. 🌱Happy Earth Day from the Elevate Modular Solutions team! Let's continue to build a brighter, more sustainable future together. 🌿 #EarthDay #SustainableConstruction #ModularBuilding

To help reduce the amount of energy our properties use, our design teams are: 1. Moving from gas boilers to air source heat pumps 🌥 2. Reducing heat loss, through a building fabric approach, ensuring our buildings respond to environmental changes ☀ 3. Improving insulation and our hot water systems 🚿 4. Improving the quality of construction, commission and handover of our properties to reduce any performance gaps 🏗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/ejX7MW6P We're minimising the amount of energy our buildings use, aligning with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) #2030ClimateChallenge targets. We aspire to keep our residents and employees comfortable, healthy and happy in our properties. To do so, we need to better understand how our buildings work. Our building designs and the number of people living in the space has an impact on our energy and thermal performance. Hennepin-University Partnership (HUP) Webinar: Building material reuse in commercial projects Tuesday, July 30, 11am-12pm CST, virtual In 2023, Hennepin County Environment and Energy initiated a collaborative project to create a toolkit with architectural specification language. The goal was to assist owners, architects, and contractors in designing, building, and operating buildings with reduced waste by incorporating reclaimed materials and deconstruction practices. Working alongside the University of Minnesota’s Center for Sustainable Building Research, MSR Design, and Doors Unhinged, the project team conducted a literature review, developed best practices for sourcing and installing reclaimed materials, created specification language templates, and gathered expert feedback. Register to attend this upcoming webinar to explore the importance of material reuse in commercial building projects and learn about the Project Manager’s Guide to Material Reuse in Commercial Buildings toolkit.
