I love this guy and his content so much! I can honestly say that many of my perspectives have shifted since I started following him. How do I apply this to #productmanagement? I apply it by seeing the people that I'm creating for and the people that are doing the creating. There is no better feeling of accomplishment for me than when I am able to get people to connect with their purpose and creativity to produce something terrific that delivers incredible value for customers. For me, it feels the same or better as hitting those moments of flow while doing something athletic. This is where the magic of product management happens - at the people connections.
I do have to take exception to his "Nice guys finish first" hoody comment. I think nice guys often don't finish first but they are not concerned with finishing first. They are thinking about living well. My hoody would say "Nice people finish happy and have a better time getting there". What would your hoody say?

If you can stop 🛑 judging yourself and be more kind to yourself maybe you’ll stop judging others ...

A great reminder, for those in leadership especially, that kindness matters.
As partners, managers, leaders, etc....we often need to move past our ego's and be both kind and caring to those we're charged with leading.
We may work at a $5B company, or work on a $1B acquisition out of a client's $500M fund...but...those numbers, at the end of the day, are just numbers.
When we're gone from this earth, here's the amount of people that will care how large of a Company you worked for, or how many zeros the client managed that you worked for.
Ready?
0.
Life gets pretty great when you replace your ego and drive for self-promotion with focusing on others and showing kindness to as many people as you can.
Be an awesome employee.
Be a diligent worker.
Be a dynamic leader.
But don't let the zeros and your ego trick you into thinking you're somehow exempt from treating those around you with kindness and respect.
Now. Go be great to people today.
If you can stop 🛑 judging yourself and be more kind to yourself maybe you’ll stop judging others ...
which would be a massive benefit to your life ❣️☀️💛

Have you ever thought about the power of kindness and how it can impact your life and the lives of others? Kindness is a simple yet profound act that can make a big difference. Here's why kindness is key:
1️⃣ Spreading Positivity: Kindness has the power to brighten someone's day and spread positivity. When you approach others with kindness, it can create a ripple effect, inspiring others to be kind as well. Small acts of kindness, such as a genuine compliment or a helping hand, can have a significant impact on someone's mood and overall well-being.
2️⃣ Building Relationships: Kindness forms the foundation of strong and meaningful relationships. When you consistently show kindness to others, it builds trust, strengthens bonds, and fosters a sense of connection. Kindness creates a safe and supportive environment where people feel valued and appreciated.
3️⃣ Enhancing Personal Well-being: Kindness not only benefits others but also has a positive effect on your own well-being. Engaging in acts of kindness releases oxytocin, a hormone that promotes feelings of happiness and reduces stress. Helping others provides a sense of purpose and fulfillment, boosting your mental and emotional health.
4️⃣ Creating a Positive Work Culture: Kindness is not limited to personal relationships but also plays a crucial role in the workplace. A kind and compassionate work culture fosters collaboration, teamwork, and productivity. When colleagues show kindness to one another, it creates a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
5️⃣ Making a Difference: Kindness has the power to create positive change in the world. Small acts of kindness can have a ripple effect, inspiring others to pay it forward. By consistently showing kindness, you contribute to creating a more compassionate and caring society.
Remember, kindness is key. Whether it's a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand, your acts of kindness can have a profound impact on others and yourself. Let's make kindness a priority in our lives and spread positivity wherever we go. #kindnessmatters#positivity#relationships#wellbeing#workculture

I've experienced a wide range of emotions over the past few weeks as a long-time season ticket holder at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Firstly, I was proud of the club's work in raising awareness about the mental health crisis we face today. However, my pride turned to disgust upon learning about the exorbitant season ticket price increases approved by Fosun 复星 for the 2024/25 season. The adult ticket price surged by around 17%, u14 tickets spiked by 133%, and u21 disabled supporter tickets soared by 131%.
It's disheartening to witness such a disregard for the financial struggles faced by many, especially during these challenging times. Fosun 复星 and The Premier League need to reflect on the impact of these decisions, considering the burden it places on loyal fans. These hikes are not just about numbers but also about the mental well-being of supporters.
The continuous rise in ticket prices since Wolverhampton Wanderers rejoined The Premier League in 2018/19 is concerning. My next season ticket will cost £780.00, significantly higher than the initial price. In comparison, Aston Villa Football Club raised their prices by 5% for next year, despite having Champions League football ahead.

"Nudity is required with the exception that women can wear bottoms," reports WTRF on the Balls Out Bowling event. — Read the rest

Early Gaelic Ireland 7th - 9th century!
This podcast delves deep into the history of early Gaelic Ireland, long before the English invasion (no hard feelings!). What might surprise you is the revelation that there were Settled communities in the 7th to 9th centuries, and those on the move were not nomadic wanderers, but rather kings, warriors, and bards. The bards, often called "Wards," held lands and pursued their professions. It becomes evident that the Settled people of that era had a different language and culture compared to today's majority of Settled Irish, as well as the Travellers but who almost all hail from the Gaelic world.
But why does any of this matter,? Well, the English conquests played a significant role in shaping the perception of "nomads" by displacing Gaelic Clans from their lands, including the bards. This historical perspective challenges the notion of Itinerants or Tinkers, labels that emerged under English colonization including several more!.
Fast forward to the 16th century, where the English embarked on a deliberate experiment to transform old Gaelic Ireland into an English society, giving rise to the label "Settled Irish." This endeavor involved erasing people's history and cultural heritage to such an extent that many lost their connection not only to the past but even to the days of the week. It's a struggle to find representation of Gaelic life from those times, leaving many with the mistaken belief that there was nothing there.
Fast forward again to 1922 when no colonial institutions had changed and the colonial processes continues to this day. What is Irish identity without its indigenous identities who are we all as Island without its history.
Our mission has been a lifelong endeavor, driven not by personal gain but by the hope that one day Traveller organisations will embrace this knowledge. So many lives, including those of children, have been affected, and as time passes, we hope to hold those accountable who, despite being educated and presented with scientific evidence, who turned a blind eye will soon see reason.
We persist because we have no other choice, for the psychological pressure placed upon our community's by the State is immense as it isn't Gaelic. Yet, we continue to share our history and heritage, hoping for a brighter future where the truth prevails and understanding prevails over ignorance and someday we make great art.

Scottie Scheffler's wife, Meredith, did not join him in Augusta this weekend because she is pregnant with their first child.
On Saturday, it was reported that if she went into labor prior to him teeing off on Sunday, he would withdraw from the Masters and forfeit his chance at a second green jacket. At that point, he was leading the field at (-7).
If you are not a golf fan, I'll spoil the surprise for you: Scottie finished the tournament at (-11) on Sunday, becoming a Masters champion for the second time in 3 years.
I read many, many comments that called out how foolish this would have been. But the one that stood out to me most was this:
"He'll be a dad for decades, but his kid will have to live with the guilt of causing his dad to lose the Masters for his whole life."
When your identity is rooted in what you do and your accomplishments, I can see how that comment rings true.
Scottie's identity is found in something much greater than a green jacket. Much greater than his accomplishments. It is rooted in Christ Jesus and His finished work upon the cross, defeating Satan, Sin, and Death.
Amazing perspective by Scottie on this Monday morning. Watch here. The question that produces this answer is asked around the 6:10 mark of the video. The entire press conference is well worth your time.
