Third Thursday @ Three Powered by Kinect Capital Recognized as a Top Networking Event in Utah by Utah Business Lehi, Utah – July 10, 2024 Third Thursday @ Three, a premier networking and pitch event, has been recognized by Utah Business writer Izzy Howell as one of the top seven networking events in Utah. Howell emphasizes the importance of networking in career success, stating, “Whether you’re a seasoned professional, recently graduated or find yourself new to an area, networking makes or breaks your career. Inspired by Utah’s exceptional startup success rate, with 1 in 61 venture-backed startups becoming unicorns, the event is dedicated to linking visionary startups with investors. Each month, five startups are given five minutes each to pitch their ideas to Angel and VC investors at the Kiln HQ theater in Lehi. The event is followed by a Q&A session, networking, and refreshments, making it a must-attend for entrepreneurs and investors alike. Launched just over a year ago by Ray Smithson, Third Thursday @ Three has quickly become a force in the entrepreneurial community. Over the course of 17 events, more than 80 founders have had the opportunity to present their businesses to a group of investors, founders, and influencers in the Utah entrepreneurial community. With over 2,000 attendees, the event has catapulted several businesses to receiving funding. Third Thursday @ Three is also Kinect Capital’s official business showcase and pitch event in Utah. James Kemp, Executive Director of Kinect Capital, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Partnering with Ray and his Third Thursday @ Three event is a huge win for us. It is an incredible feeder into our Annual Investors Choice and WeROC (Women Realizing Opportunities for Capital) events.
