In 2018, I heard from drivers including Randy, an Uber driver who had to drop out of Arizona State University due to financial challenges, that we could do more to support their pursuit of higher education. This feedback presented an opportunity for Uber to do more. After all, if Uber had made earning money flexible, why couldn’t we help drivers attend college flexibly? In response, we partnered with Arizona State University to launch a tuition program for eligible drivers and couriers, as well as their families. This initiative allows them to earn their degrees through ASU online, free of charge. Randy graduated in 2020 with a degree in communications and political science. And since 2018, more than 1,000 drivers, couriers, or family members have graduated through our ASU partnership. I'm in awe of the hard work and determination of these Uber graduates who manage their studies while balancing work and family responsibilities. Celebrating their success is truly one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

We’re proud to announce that Leidos and Elroy Air have been approved to demonstrate an autonomous Medium Aerial Resupply Vehicle – Expeditionary Logistics (MARV-EL) prototype for the Navy and Marine Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems program office (PMA-263). We’re getting ready to send Chaparral to the desert, with the flight test activities scheduled for July 2024. The activities are part of a contract awarded last year to develop and demonstrate an uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) that can autonomously resupply forward-deployed ground forces for the United States Marine Corps. #cargodrone #resupply #MARVEL #hVTOL #Chaparral https://lnkd.in/g4vZCifZ

What a fun way to spend a Saturday morning! As a Board member of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation Board, I was the MC for our 11th Annual Hearts and Soles race benefitting orgs supporting the health of youth in our community: YMCA of Silicon Valley (shout out to CEO Jim Hori!), Boys & Girls Clubs of America SIlicon Valley (shout out to CEO Steve Wymer!) and Santa Clara County Office of Education (shout out to Superintendent Mary Ann Dewan, Ph.D.!).
