I recently had the privilege of meeting with the UPS Buildings and Systems Engineering #BaSE Air Region Hangar Project Team in Louisville, KY to celebrate their reaching peak altitude, placing the final roof structure on our new hangar complex. The new hangar will be iconic and serve as a critical addition to our Air Services at #Worldport. It will be visible from the highways and to the thousands of people traveling through the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. This 155,000 sq ft clear-span hangar and two-story office facility will provide additional space to perform critical maintenance on our aircraft, so that we’re always ready to meet our customers’ needs. The delivery of this hangar will provide an important part of our infrastructure to help attract new business, increase service, and help our proud #UPSers to continue delivering what matters! Our #UPS BaSE Air Region Project team provides another example of how we’re better enabled to meet customer demands today and in the future.

Proud UPSer moment! Today, the Northwest Aircraft Maintenance Hangar welcomed its first aircraft for service. This milestone is a testament to the hard work and dedication of so many incredible individuals, and it wouldn't have been possible without each and every one of them. Since the earthquake struck Türkiye and Syria, UPS has been working around the clock to deliver what matters. Together with The UPS Foundation, we’ve activated our air and ground networks to provide humanitarian relief where it’s needed most by: • Establishing an airbridge from UPS’s European air hub in Cologne to Istanbul which offers space on our daily flight for essential supplies. • Flying in relief items in partnership with World Food Programme and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC. • Providing transportation capacity with seven UPS trucks in Istanbul. • Working with local non-profit organizations. We’re committed to supporting ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts as they evolve. Our hearts and thoughts are with the people of Türkiye and Syria.
