Good Monday Morning Linked in Friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their time off celebrating our independence! I took the week off to recoup, rejuvenate, and repair. Usually, when I take time off, we make a mad dash to various destinations, which often feels rushed and chaotic. This time, however, we stayed local and it was one of the best experiences—calm and relaxing without the usual hustle. I focused on myself and my family, and it was incredibly refreshing. I realized how important it is to unplug from work and enjoy the simple things in life. Spending an afternoon reading a book without checking the time was a new and wonderful experience for me. This week taught me the value of slowing down and not always having a packed schedule. It’s essential to take a break, shut down, and appreciate the moments around us. Well, it’s good to be back—I feel recharged and ready to go!

My next door neighbor passed away this weekend. She was wonderful, feisty and hilarious. She was around 85 years old or so. A persons life will give you some good, perspective on things. Thinking about the cycle of life if I’m lucky enough to live that long, that means I have about 35 more summers to experience. When I look at that way, it lights a fire in me and then I’m like geez..35 MORE SUMMERS!! So…..here are some things to think about: Are you really living the life you want? If not, how can you start to change it ASAP?? Keep this in mind: 🔥 Life is too short not to enjoy yourself. 🔥 Your dreams/ goals/ aspirations are still important. Don’t let them go no matter how unreasonable someone told you they are. 🔥 Your job is not your life. It’s only a functional part of it. So use it as a tool to help you fund your lifestyle and try not to make it more important than your family/ wellbeing/ values. 🔥 Too much stress can make you sick. 🔥 You deserve to be happy. So get rid of people, situations or behaviors that make you sad. As you start this new week, appreciate all you’ve done and all that you ARE. Be kind to yourself, don’t be afraid to live boldly and never waste another summer.

I share insight on how to build a purposeful brand online and beyond. | Check out my "D2D" Newsletter to Subscribe! | 📌Upcoming project
It was hard to come back, but I did it! This was not the plan, but in a way what I prayed for. It's been 3 months of rugged inconsistency. It started from showing up 7 days a week to 2-3 times in a month. But what's most important to me is that I keep showing up, despite the events surrounding my inconsistency. Why? One thing. _____ The world revolves around people who deliberately put in effort to make things happen. _____ No one is going to have the slightest idea of what you've got to offer if you don't put yourself out there. Neither would people stick around, waiting for you to come off your feelings or for you to finally have some reality checks. I came to terms with these truths and it has helped shape my approach to building my brand: 1. "It is a marathon, not a sprint" 2. "Grow at your own pace to prevent burnout or demotivation" 3. "Your yesterday is your only competition, strive to be better than it" In a nutshell, the journey is unique to you. In the end, it wouldn't matter how much but rather how well you've been able to deliver. With that being said, cheers to a new day and week to put in the work. No matter how little or big. Go for it! Happy New Week! PS: Thanks to everyone who didn't forget the name, Lina Isong despite my absence. Connect with me if you feel connected.

Happy Friday, everyone! As we reflect on the past week at Made for More Compass, it's evident that our journey is defined by both our victories and the challenges we've faced. Each win wasn't just a step forward; it was a testament to our collective growth 🌱. And the setbacks? Simply reminders of our humanity and new opportunities to excel with even more determination next week 💪. We've embraced a crucial wisdom: success and setbacks are two sides of the same coin, each playing a pivotal role in shaping us into better versions of ourselves. It's about finding balance, learning from every experience, and moving forward with purpose and resilience. As we step into the weekend, let's do so with a sense of excitement and readiness for what's ahead. We're prepared for more lessons, laughter, and bold strides toward achieving our goals. Together, we'll reach new heights. Here's to evolving every day and embracing our journey with open hearts and minds. 🚀🌟

This weekend, my youngest turns 1 year old. It's amazing how much can change in just one year. 12 months ago: → I was scattered → Juggling a million tasks → Piecing together my vision → Struggling with early delegation Now: → My vision is one cohesive plan → I'm laser-focused on two things → Client success and business growth → Eliminating and automating what I can → Delegating what's left to focus on the big picture → Implementing Leverage for Growth → Leading Niche in Control by example This shift has allowed me to: → Add 9 client case studies → Implement a 12-week year → Take quarterly family vacations → Work less than 40 hours a week → Simplify the business and focus on 80/20 tasks → Develop long-term strategic partnerships But this post isn't about me. It's about YOU. We often underestimate our capabilities, Focusing on the gap rather than the gain. Wishing we were "there" when we should appreciate being "here." The greatest gift you can give yourself is to look back and acknowledge your progress. 👉 What is something you're proud of that happened in the last year? Let me know in the comments 👇 and I will celebrate with you.

As I savor my Sunday morning coffee, a time traditionally reserved for quiet reflection, a thought strikes me, veering slightly off the beaten path. It's often said, "If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life." However, I find myself challenging this adage. Consider Michael Jordan—a paragon of success in basketball, yet he harbored dreams of playing baseball. This leads me to ponder, what truly is the path to making a meaningful impact, to reaching our full potential, to having satisfaction? It seems the reality might not be about pursuing what we desire most, but rather, leveraging what we excel at. This doesn't mean our passions play no role; they do, in the broader tapestry of our lives, filled with hobbies and interests that offer a respite from our contributions to society. Yet, these contributions are necessary, for they enable us to fulfill basic needs, like paying rent and buying groceries. In acknowledging this truth, we must also consider how we can craft a society that better supports its members. Our work may not always be the source of our happiness, but the environment in which we work and the colleagues we collaborate with should foster our well-being, aiming towards shared objectives. As we prepare for a new week, I invite you to contemplate these ideas. How can we reshape our approach to work so that it serves us, ensuring that we are not merely cogs in a machine, but active participants in creating a fulfilling life? Happy Sunday!

The work we do. For most of us, we are incredibly privileged to do the kind of work that we do. And even though we complain about this and that, we should never lose sight of how privileged we are to do the amazing work that we do. An opportunity to move the needle, shape the way, and help a thing to progress. We may not always realise it. It may not always feel that way. And it may appear as if we aren’t making an impact. But we must know that that is not the case. We are making an incredible impact in our little corner of the world. Because of the work that we do and how we do it, we make someone’s life easier and sometimes better. Because of our work, someone can put food on their table and support their family. Because of the work that we do, in aggregate, the world is a better place. The daily challenges are there and acknowledged. But what is life without one? The tough times are there and acknowledged. But what is life without one? The disappointments are there and acknowledged. But what is life without one?

Happy New Month Everyone. It is a new day and a new month of this year that will never come again. So surprising how time flies. Reminiscing, we can all remember celebrating New Year not long, like it was yesterday. Now it is June. The first half of year 2024 is coming to an end. I hope and pray that all our prayers and expectations will be met in this new month. Today, I implore you to take a short period of time out of your busy schedule to brood. Think of the past months and be grateful for both the little achievements and bourgeois ones. Remember being grateful is the access to more blessings and opportunities. Also do not forget to gauge yourself. Ask yourself thought provoking questions like; - How well have I developed myself within these past months? - What have I learnt that will sharpen my understanding? - How have I made impact on others etc. Ask yourself these questions. They are yardsticks you will use to measure yourself and know your prowess. Remember, Time Waits For No One. Once again, Happy New Month. Ngozi ✍️✍️.

Loving What You Do Makes a Difference to Your Day “Choose a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life” – Confucius. I know that this time of year can be particularly exhausting, and everyone is just in need of a break. When you feel the wave of exhaustion coming over you, it's very easy to let it wash over all the wonderful things that are going on in your life. When this starts to happen, take a step back and shift your focus to what is going well in your life and what you're grateful for. Since I shifted my focus from what I HAVE to do, to what I GET to do, I've been waking up so excited, ready to dive into the challenges and opportunities that come my way. Whether it's tackling complex problems, collaborating with amazing colleagues, or witnessing the impact of our work on our clients, there's a sense of fulfillment that comes from doing what you're truly passionate about. Finding that sweet spot where your skills meet your passion is the key to unlocking your full potential. It's not just about a job; it's about a calling and knowing that you're contributing to something bigger than yourself. I'm grateful for the journey that led me to this point and for the incredible team I have the privilege to work with. Together, we're not just building careers; we're building something meaningful. It's never too late to pivot toward what you love. Take the time to explore, to learn, and to grow. Your passion could be the driving force that leads you to your next great adventure. Don't let your life pass you by before you can fully live it. Find something to do daily that challenges you, excites you, motivates you, and allows you to do something for others. Being a part of something bigger than yourself truly is a magical place to be!

I thought I had it all figured out I thought I had it all in control I thought I've crossed the hardest part of the journey Until I cross into a new phase and discover that I have to start all over again. I have to start figuring out the new phase, Find a way to glide through into the next phase Find a way to have the phase in control. This is a cycle everyone hungry for growth repeats. You can't have your whole journey sorted out no matter how much you try. Because each phase of life comes with its own challenge that needs to be faced. It's like after graduating secondary school and you think you've arrived. Just to land yourself into a bigger stress of getting into the university. And so on...... Why am I saying this? It's to tell you that it's fine if you've not figured out your journey. It doesn't make you less serious than others. Those you look up to are also trying to figure out that particular phase of their journey. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Take each day as it comes. This is a new week. Figure it out day by day. Remember, Clarity isn't something you gain once in a lifetime, It's something you gain almost everyday of your life. Happy new week Fam ♥️ P.S: How was your weekend?

Happy New Year Friends! When we think about our lives, the memories often stand out the most. These moments make us feel alive, shaping who we are and how we perceive the world. Memories are more than just fleeting moments; they are the stories we carry throughout our lives. Think about the last time you went on a vacation. It's not just the destination or the activities you remember but the emotions and experiences that come with it. Maybe it was the feeling of awe as you stood at the edge of a breathtaking viewpoint or the laughter shared with loved ones as you explored a new city. These memories are the ones that stay with us long after the trip is over. So, how can we make more meaningful memories? One way is to be present in the moment. When fully engaged in what we are doing, we are more likely to remember it later. Another way is to try new things. Stepping out of our comfort zones and trying something different can create lasting memories. Whether learning a new skill, exploring a new place, or trying a new hobby, these experiences can help us grow and create memories that will stay with us. How do you make more meaningful memories with your loved ones?
