There is a lot of money to be made by bankers, advisors, employees, and investors with an IPO. The fact that the bankers themselves can't agree on the definition of an "IPO window" is interesting (at very least) and perhaps telling, as Corrie Driebusch examines in her latest story: https://lnkd.in/e9E2Dg-S For late-stage companies on an "IPO Runway" - run your business well, look at an IPO as a milestone and not the endgame, and you, your employees, and your investors will all be better off.
