Tell me something GOOD! 💚 The Kern County Child Support Services’ Community Crusaders are at it again! 😎 This passionate group of Child Support professionals recently volunteered at The Misson at Kern County for the third consecutive year, preparing and serving meals to unhoused community members and washing service vehicles. 👏 The Crusaders look forward to continuing their volunteer work with The Mission and other local organizations in Kern County as true public servants in the office AND in their free time! 🤗

SEE BELOW ⤵️   💥 Do NOT call 911 to report illegal fireworks — use the online reporter tool at kerncountyfire.org or download the MyKern app on the App Store or Google Play 💥 No fireworks of any kind are allowed in our mountain communities 💥 Only use “Safe and Sane” fireworks within approved dates, times, and locations 💥 If you engage in illegal firework activity or allow illegal firework activity on your property, you may be fined $1,500 – $2,500 For more information, follow the Kern County Fire Dept or visit their website!

Tell me something GOOD! 💚 Last week, the Kern County Probation Department proudly celebrated the graduation of 15 Youth Services Officers from their Juvenile Corrections Officer Core program. These hard working men and women dedicated nearly 240 hours to rigorous state-mandated training to prepare them to serve our community with distinction. 💪 Please join us in congratulating them on their new positions! 🎉

Tell me something good! 💚 This week, we celebrated the grand opening of the Lost Hills Park Playground, in partnership with The Wonderful Company, Caltrans Central Valley District 6, PlayCore, and the Lost Hills community! 🛝🏃♂️🏃♀️🌳☀️ We’re thrilled to have this inclusive, outdoor play and recreation destination for people of all ages right here in Kern County! This resource hub has also been awarded National Demonstration Site recognition by Playcore’s Center for Outreach, Research, and Education — due to the park’s thoughtful design that will increase vitality within the Lost Hills community! 🥳🥳🥳

Tell me something GOOD! 💚 The Kern County Fire Department has a brand new look thanks to one of their amazing employees! 🎨 KCFD’s training tower now features a stunning mural, thanks to the incredible talent of Katelyn Hinkle! Katelyn is a Fiscal Support Technician for KCFD. She says, “This artwork honors the dedication, leadership, and commitment of Deputy Chief Kain Linville, capturing the essence of training and bravery in the fire service. It’s a powerful reminder of the values we hold dear and the standards our department strives for every day.” 👩🏻🎨 We are SO proud of how this art represents our local heroes and the entire firefighting community who work tirelessly to keep us safe.
