So much fun spending time at bluebird bio’s nest in Somerville, meeting with leadership and engaging with the flock responsible for delivering for patients. bluebird has such an incredible company culture that shines through the passion of everyone who works there. Love that the fireside chat was organized by your bWild ERG, which embodies your commitment to women and leadership development. Your gene therapies are changing the lives of people with #rarediseases, including most recently those with sickle cell disease and β-thalassemia. Thank you to CEO Andrew Obenshain and SVP Sarah Alspach for hosting our team. Your #patientdriven efforts are recognized and celebrated! 

It was a fabulous morning with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) for their annual research and #healthequity breakfast, kicked off by the outstanding Karen Knudsen MBA PhD whose fierce leadership to find a cure for cancer is unrivaled. The Boston Red Sox are on a hot streak right now, and I’m guessing everyone in attendance at Fenway Park left with some of that fire and passion to win for patients. Great to have Biotechnology Innovation Organization CEO John F. Crowley back in Boston and to hear from Representative Meghan Kilcoyne, a champion for #biomarker testing and patients. The American Cancer Society is near and dear to me personally, and MassBio is proud to be a sponsor of this important event. #patientdriven
