For Women's Health Week, Outpointe is shining a light on the remarkable nurse-entrepreneur Stefanie Modri MSN, RNC-MNN, C-OB, and her groundbreaking company, Vasowatch. Postpartum hemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide. Founded with support from the Pennovation Center, Vasowatch designed a novel technology to help predict postpartum hemorrhage risk, giving obstetric care teams the critical support needed to make faster and more precise decisions. Vasowatch yields up to 10x better prediction ability, 1-6 hours before birth. Imagine the impact — saving lives and ensuring every woman gets the care she deserves. Thank you so much! I really appreciate the recognition and exposure for the work my team and I are doing. Nurses often innovate on the spot but it is really hard to get a great idea for one patient turned into a great idea for a million. I am thankful for my team, the support from Penn and the broader health innovation ecosystem for their support. We are working hard to be in the market in 2026 to help make every birth safer.
