Loved the process of making this design tool, hoping it will serve us well for developments coming down the pipeline. Please reach out if you are interested in hearing more!
A new design tool that we have created collaboratively with XYC Design + Development is live on our website. Architecture Soup is what we are calling it - get all the details from the link below!

A' Connection : Sitemap of a platform and Architecture layout from the lens of Spatial Composition. The lines are the only way or source to represents the boundaries and walls, while connecting those lines it well showcases a structured construction of a house. The space and lines give people the cues to Navigate through a symphony of lines. It’s quite amazing to see the space between lines thoroughly representing a way for people to move around the space. The impact those empty spaces create in the mind of is pointing people their individual journey into the studio. These empty spaces create a sense of anticipation, much like the threshold of a doorway leading into a room, signaling the beginning of an individual's journey. The broken lines signify the backend of the house considering the sewage and pipeline system which is required at the working level for the maintenance of it. Every thickness of line very well represents the width of the wall and construction. Lines define the scale, elements of the arch digest as where the site map gives you the path for different digital elements.
Formation of each line into a shape represents the spaces inside the space, for the characters to be in. Each space showcases distinctive character depending upon numerous factors making that space, but from an architectural standpoint, it also depends on the size of each space formed by different lines.
A journey for a character either in a space or digital construction of a solution merely lies on their architecture. Strokes forming different shapes display the characteristics of each page inside the whole construction, helping later in establishing the mood and elements of it. Any acceptable individual is allowed to go through different shapes, but sometimes followed by an established user path, yet keeping it in a way liberty and power is always in the hands of the individual in the journey. Broken lines in the sitemap may represent the backend infrastructure required for platform working, analogous to the hidden systems and pipelines in any construction. The information architecture is a well-established blueprint and layout for any digital platform. However, in both cases, the word 'conceptual' is quite evocative, which in the end makes any studio, my studio and a platform, my platform.
This information arch. layout is a Concept for people to move around my platform and explore it.

Define ARCHITECTURE - this was the first question from a senior that got stuck in my mind as a freshman.. I still can’t define it in one go or in one word.. Architecture is beyond what one could imagine.. Read more in the link to know more about it especially if you’re also a freshman..

When systems are thrown together in a hurry, when the sheer number of programmers is the sole driver of output, and when little or no thought is given to the cleanliness of the structure of the design, then you are riding to an ugly end.
Developers buy into this lie: "We can clean it up later; we just have to get to market first!"
Of course, things never do get cleaned up later, because market pressures never abate. Getting to market first simply means that you've now got a horde of competitors on your tail, and you have to stay ahead of them by running as fast as you can.

This logo perfectly encapsulates my idea of architecture. In architecture, lines are guiding elements, such as corridors or pathways, facilitating user navigation and enhancing functionality. On the other side, commas symbolize change in direction or areas of interest, which adds a layer of visual interest and curiosity. These ideas highlight how architecture is not just about functionality but also plays an important role in creating a memorable experience.

Unrolling the Blueprint: Exploring the World of Architecture
Today, we take a slight detour from our usual musings to spotlight a design studio that has consistently resonated with me—Leckie Studio Architecture + Design Inc. Situated in the heart of Vancouver, this firm has become a beacon of architectural innovation under the leadership of principal architect Michael Leckie.
Leckie Studio's eloquent blend of modern architecture with Scandinavian design aesthetics sets it apart. For those unfamiliar with Scandinavian design, it emphasises simplicity, minimalism, and, most importantly, a harmonious coexistence with nature. This is not just about integrating greenery and wood into a structure but about embracing nature in the negative spaces within the architectural form.
Michael Leckie and his team have truly mastered this balance. Their projects aren’t just edifices of concrete, wood, and glass—they’re symphonies where the built environment and the natural world dance in sublime harmony. This architecture doesn't dominate its surroundings but coexists, becoming a part of the landscape rather than an interruption.
Founded in 2015, Leckie Studio may seem young in years, but its portfolio boasts a maturity and depth that many long-established firms strive for. Their commitment to “initiating cultural change through design” is evident in every project they undertake. Far from adhering to conventional design norms, they constantly challenge assumptions and bring about unexpected yet deeply resonant outcomes.
As we navigate our journey in "Unrolling the Blueprint", we must recognise and celebrate those who are trailblazing new paths in the world of architecture. Leckie Studio is a testament to the magic that happens when innovation meets reverence for nature.
To all architecture enthusiasts out there, I would like you to go into the works of Leckie Studio. Their designs don't just speak; they sing, echoing the harmonies of nature, modernity, and an unyielding passion for excellence. Good job to Michael and their team.
