Seeing Emi Dibu Martinez save penalties vs Ecuador today and overwriting a poor Argentine performance today, including a disaster class by Messi today filled me with a thought What if Dibu was around Copa 2015 and 2016? Or World Cup 2014? What if Argentina had won any of those 3 tournaments ? Messi possibly would have retired many years ago and would not have played in the last four years he did, out of the world. And his rival Ronaldo would possibly have retired after Euro 2016 win sometime Possibly it was good for Messi and the game that he had to wait for so long , just like Sachin for 50 over and Kohli for 20 over world cups Waiting makes greats GOATs PS: Thanks Dibu for everything , once again
