Career, reputation, job security: Siemens in Austria is once again one of best employers👍 Based on the latest study “Employer Brand Research 2023” by the international personnel provider Randstad, Siemens Austria achieved 2nd place this year, just behind AVL but ahead of Porsche Holding. The trophy was handed over in Vienna last week. The key drivers for Siemens Austria's top ranking are excellent career opportunities, the offer of jobs with interesting content, our reputation as a company and long-term job security. Siemens in Austria is attractive to millennials (25 to 34 years old) by 61 percent and by 58.4 percent among graduates with a master's degree (and higher). The highlight of 2023 was the opening of the Porsche Center in Mainz. Growth through professionalization and innovation – the Löhr Group will continue to rely on this strategy in 2023. Despite general obstacles in the market, the traditional Koblenz-based company is expected to end the year with an increase in profits. The company is one of the largest trading groups in Germany and generated more than 1.16 billion euros in sales with the VW Group brands. The main reason for the increase is the increased vehicle prices. Why AI Might Get the CEO Chair Before Women Do Heading into the weekend, I'm reflecting on a recent top executive appointment in Germany. As usual, I immediately look into the qualifications of the women involved and can't help but ask: why isn't she the CEO? It's puzzling why women often find themselves in roles like HR, marketing, or operations, but much less frequently in CFO positions, and even more rarely as CEOs. Is this indicative of gender bias? This issue requires recognition and accurate articulation. As a profound admirer of the late political philosopher Hannah Arendt, I've listened to her 1964 interview with Günter Gaus at least 10 times. Amidst her iconic chain-smoking, she stated: "When you are attacked as a Jew, you must defend yourself as a Jew, not otherwise." This perspective forces us to confront gender bias head-on. We seem to lack trust in women's ability to handle powerful positions, relegating them to Co-CEO roles or supportive functions. A Qualified Woman or AI? I wonder, if men had to choose between sharing their position with AI or a woman, would they prefer AI as a co-worker? This intriguing thought merits further exploration. 🙂 Dear men, your support is crucial in changing the status quo. It's a change we must pursue because the current scenario is no longer sexy, outdated, immoral, economically unwise, and unsustainable.

Dezember bin ich als Executive Assistant to the CFO Teil eines beeindruckenden Teams bei ZF Group und wirke insbesondere mit beim Carve-Out von ZF Passive Safety Systems. Der Technologiekonzern gestaltet mit der Strategie „Next Generation Mobility“ aktiv die Transformation der Mobilitätsbranche. Der Sparte für passive Sicherheitstechnik - weltweit Nummer 2 - wird durch die Eigenständigkeit stärkeres Wachstum und der nachhaltige Ausbau der Marktposition ermöglicht. Dieses Geschäft wird auch von den Megatrends der erhöhten Fahrzeugsicherheit und des autonomen Fahrens profitieren. Der Wechsel in diese Position ermöglicht mir, an der Spitze der Finanzorganisation mitzuwirken und einen Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung eines globalen Unternehmens zu leisten.
