Back in 2016, Australian Psychologist Dr Peter Cotton, stated during an Allianz Australia Personal Injury Client Engagement Day, taht Incivility was the number one driver in the rise of workers compensation claims in Australia. In other words, People being Nasty to each other. Today SHRM have released their report on Incivility in the USA. It is quite alarming, but not surprising. There is a way to repair this situation. A well-designed and transparent appraisal process aligns individual goals with organizational objectives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development. Arne Duncan, founder of community violence intervention leader Chicago CRED says it best, "Ultimately, the jobs piece is hugely important because I can't ask people to put down the guns if they don't have a job to go to.
