On my CoachTools LLC podcast I talk with coaches about lessons like adaptability in the context of football. I've found this especially relates to NFL quarterbacks in recent years. 16 starting QBs were sidelined, and 66 QBs started at least one game during the 2023 NFL season. As starting QBs change, they exemplify the need to quickly reset and adapt — a skill that I find to be extremely important. The ability of a QB to transition to a starting role, think on the fly, and lead under different circumstances speaks volumes about resilience and adaptability. Quarterbacks like Baker Mayfield, potentially staying with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, demonstrate how embracing a new role can lead to unexpected success. The need for quick adaptation resonates with my belief that being flexible and open to change is crucial. It's about more than just surviving in a new environment; it's about leveraging your strengths, and contributing to new dynamics. Whether it's a career shift, a new role, or an unexpected turn, success depends on our ability to embrace change, reset quickly, and adapt. I think the quarterback carousel is a great metaphor for life's constant flux and our capacity to navigate it with grace and resilience. #NFL #Leadership #Adaptability
