My career has involved a few 'firsts' along the way....... ✨ Setting up and helping run one of the first Internet Cafes in Newcastle-upon-Tyne ✨ Creating one of the first online platforms for automated business and marketing plans ✨ Introducing digital marketing as a service to Media Matters many moons ago, and, as a result, running some of the region's first boot camps on the subject And right now - championing HubSpot.....✨ .....because I can see the potential this tech brings for B2B marketing. For instance, I’m blown away by its latest dev release, Content Hub. As an agency fixated on producing ONLY purposeful, innovative and top quality content, I’m excited what more this could mean for our clients. The software takes content management onto another level with new features for us to try out and get to grips with. Here are a couple I’ve discovered so far: 💡 blog narration - audio versions of blog posts where we can customise the tone and human voice, making it more personalised and a more compelling listening experience. Our strategies are all about resonating with the customer at exactly where they are in their buyer journey, so this is very exciting. 💡 brand voice – a tool to help maintain a constant voice across all material. We all know consistent language, style and tone are vital but when you’re working across multiple platforms and potentially involving different copywriters and content creators, there’s risk of core messages getting muddied, diluted or even missed completely which isn’t great for building a brand. I’ve only scratched the surface with it so far so expect more info on this as I delve deeper into the hub and get excited about its podcast, SEO capabilities and other features I've spotted on the list! For B2Bs looking to scale, having solid platforms and tech (like this) in place from the outset, means everything is ready to grow with you 🚀 And that’s why I’m a HubSpot fan and why it’s continual stream of development 'firsts' can only be good news for B2Bs 🤷♀️ Oh, and my other 'first' - archery! Not in the line of work, but all for pleasure - and for the record, I won't be doing it again, I was so bad! 🏹 #hubspot #digitalmarketing #b2bmarketing #contentmanagement #inboundmarketing

Quick story: This year I wanted to make a long-awaited dream come true so I decided to start MK Digital, a marketing agency to help B2B SaaS start-ups with lead generation through high-output channels. Ingredients: - 6+ years of sales experience - A master's degree in marketing from Oxford - Agency experience - B2B SaaS start-up experience - 10K €+ invested in various online courses and mentoring - Hours of discussions with fantastic friends who run successful agencies - A cool LinkedIn profile with a top voice badge Without these, it would be impossible ❌ And oh boy, what a journey has it been already 😅 day by day it's becoming more challenging and complex than I could ever imagine, but I learned and expanded in many areas, just to mention a few: 1. Industry expertise 2. Service expertise 3. Copywriting 4. Leadership 5. Sales 6. Marketing 7. LinkedIn content 8. Idea execution 9. Web design Also, I was fortunate to get help already from Franz Welte, who messaged me on Facebook after seeing an introductory post in a mentoring group we are both part of. So far, our collaboration has been fantastic, he's working on lead qualification, copywriting, and content creation. This is a screenshot of us working on operationalizing content on LinkedIn, to add value and share the story. p.s. If you run a B2B SaaS start-up or know someone, let's hop on a call and see how we can maximize your growth. 😉 👉 Check out: https://www.mkdigital.ai/ Cheers! Mark #marketing #agency #story #journey

Head of Content at the brand creatives | Scaling B2B SaaS and tech companies to 9 figures with Authority Content and SEO | Follow for product and content guides
Everybody talks about social proof but you only need 2 things to build a high-converting website. Social proof is like a stamp of approval for your website—it signals trust and creates FOMO. These are the two most powerful social proof: 📢 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 What's more powerful than another human being recommending a product? Nothing. Keep your customers happy and do whatever it takes to encourage them to rave about you. Then, showcase these testimonials on your website, blog posts, wherever you can really. 💯 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 Sometimes, numbers speak louder than words. The bigger and bolder the number, the better. For example: “75,000+ hours saved” “99.9% data accuracy” “300% lower cost-per-acquisition” 𝘉𝘶𝘵 even if you have both, if you don’t place them strategically on your website, they still won’t be as powerful. Based on testing and experimentation, we found that these 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁: 👉 After the hero panel, add 3-4 stats that your target audience would care most about. Don’t leave the numbers till the end. Build trust right off the bat. 👉 After each of your benefit section, add a customer quote that attests to that benefit. Nothing more powerful than a string of text, and then a BAM! a happy quote from a customer who has actually used the software. [See what our client thought about this strategy in the pic 👇😂] How do you use social proof on your website? And what worked? #socialproof #b2bcontent #b2bmarketing #b2bsaas #websitecopy – Hi! Let's talk about a sweet little organic tipping point for a moment: Websites that have 401+ blog posts get double the traffic of sites that have 301-400. 📈📈 If you've been investing in blog content for a while and seeing steady gains, keep going. You'll see even more ROI when you reach the 400+ threshold. (data image from Hubspot) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi, I'm Melissa. 👋 I've generated $300 million in content marketing revenue for startups.💰 I'm on a mission to make B2B marketing fun and interesting again. 🪅 Need help turning your content into revenue? 🔬 Are you running low stakes experiments in your marketing? I get asked a lot about planning for the long term vs short term (and how when you're in a startup.... the long term really isn't that long or that certain!) 🗣Here's what I told Simon Thomsen on our Startup Daily webinar from a few weeks ago: 1️⃣ Step 1: When you're starting from scratch, everything's an experiment. So run a bunch of tests until you find ONE thing that works, and set that on autopilot to repeat and bring in consistent results. Keyword is consistent. It doesn't have to be HIGH or GOOD, it just has to be reliable. 2⃣ Step 2: Let that run in the background while you work on more experiments to beat it. 🧪WHAT KINDS OF TESTS? 🧪 Messaging Channels Creatives Audiences Use cases/value propositions Positioning Leading with different products Any and all assumptions! Your long term planning should revolve around building consistency, reliability, something that's safe. Over time this will build up to lots of programs running, email nurtures, performance programs, PR strategies, content strategies, etc. Your short term planning is picking one existing thing at a time to try and beat, while also adding one new program. If you're adding SEO, review your existing content and improve it. If you're adding GoogleAds, review your LinkedIn ads strategy. If you're adding persona driven email flows, review your web copy to check persona alignment. Add one, review one (not a perfect ratio, sometimes it's add one review three, or add five, review one!) ***Apologies to all the founders I offend, my mouth really says things faster than I think of them and if you look closely enough you can see the panic in my eyes, this is why I usually stick to writen content 😂😂*** #TechMarketing #SaaSMarketing #B2BMarketing #Marketing

Hear me out, B2B brands. WHAT IF... ...we stopped taking ourselves so seriously and remembered that marketing can be fun? That marketing can be ironic, funny, even satirical and still get results? ...we accepted the undeniable fact that we're not entitled to attention just because we're putting out content? That we have to *earn* attention? ...we reminded each other that there are no marketing emergencies? Unless we're doing healthcare, safety, or global warming content, we're not saving lives. ...we stop doing what everyone else is doing and wholeheartedly lean into what makes us unique, distinct, interesting? What if we focus more on attracting the right people than worrying about possibly deterring the wrong ones? ...we measure content quality by the way it makes our customers feel and the meaningful changes it offers rather than by SERP rankings and clicks? These are some of the core tenets I've built my business on. And nine months after starting a business, I finally have a brand that mirrors my approaches. Introducing Scroll-Stopping Content, fractional content leadership services for brands who want to grow through offering bolder, better content experiences. I firmly believe we can get results, have fun, be bold, and offer meaningful value *all*at*the*same*time. And I'm out to prove it. Tune in tomorrow for the first of many scroll-stopping posts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi, I'm Melissa. 👋 I've generated $300 million in content marketing revenue for startups.💰 I'm on a mission to make B2B marketing fun and interesting again. 🪅 Need help turning your content into revenue? I geek out on SEO so CEOs and B2B SaaS leaders don’t have to. My goal? Help you show up, stand out, and sell more 📈 | Founder & Creator of GrowUp
Creating content for weeks or even months only to see... – lousy rankings – little or no leads – snail-paced growth After years of writing all kinds of content, I've made plenty of mistakes myself! Here are 11 key lessons for B2B SaaS in 30 seconds: (in no particular order) 1) Get super specific on your target buyers and how they'll use your product. 2) Understand their current pain points and desired transformation. 3) Lead with your story first, not your solution—saves you time pre-launch. 4) Trust starts with your content, not your product. 5) Pros focus on the audience, not just SEO. 6) Mix things up! Cover one topic from multiple angles. 7) If one format flops, try another until you find your sweet spot. 8) Find what works for YOU, even when others jump on trends. 9) Tie your metrics to real business goals. 10) Patience is key to content success. 11) Don't create more—repurpose, reuse, repeat! #b2bsaas #saasmarketing #b2bmarketing #contentmarketing #technologymarketing

Want to post on Linkedin but already have a lot on your plate? Here’s the key to incorporating Founder-led Marketing into your marketing mix: (it’s not the lack of insights that are the bottle neck - lack of process is) Figure out a streamlined and time-efficient process to share your insights and expertise – something only you can do. Then, have an infrastructure around you to package it into bit-sized, shareable content. We figured out that one of the easiest ways for founders to create content is to talk. So at Project 33, we: - ideate questions for the founders around their product, company, and expertise - get them on a 1-hour call each week and ask them these questions - record their answers - transcribe the call - edit it, write copy, and post it - analyze what’s working best - rinse and repeat That’s how founders can consistently put out content without spending hours every day writing posts and recording YouTube videos. #demandgen #gtm #marketing #b2b #saas
