MOMENTUS OCCASION!!! Well... Not really, just for me. After an undefeated season, the Nottingham Caesars (my team) have made it to the national quarter finals. This sees us do battle against the Scunthorpe Alphas on Sunday. A game worthy of TV attention😉 Like with most big occasions; meetings, weddings, birthday's etc it’s all about preparation. “Fail to prepare, prepare to fail” all that sort of stuff. But despite the quotes overuse, it is 100% true (in my opinion anyway). Want to turn up to your own wedding without having organised, flowers, food, invitations, venue etc chances are you’re not going to get married. Want to turn up to a client/prospect meeting without having done any research on the business or haven’t prepared key points you want to explore, chances are, even if you are the best person/business for the job, you will fail. For us (Caesars), we’ve been preparing for this moment since February and therefore, nothing will be left to chance. #sales #businessdevelopment #sport #software

Impact catalyst connecting leaders and teams for inspired, bold action on climate & nature through @DoGoodFaster @Unreasonable @DOLectures @TYFAdventure Founder. Pioneer @VivoBarefoot.
Connecting the B Corp community to Nature // There are few better ways to get to the real questions that your business should be grappling with than these two: 1. If staying safe during epic adventures like TYF Adventure's coasteering depends on their guides being fully prepared, equipped and supported for everything that could imagine happening on the boundary between cliff and ocean, what is that you'd want all your team to be prepared for in readiness for their response to the climate & nature emergencies? 2. In what ways would nature ask us to change our business models if we got still enough, and close enough to listen to her words? During this wonderful gathering of B Corp UK companies, we'll be spending time playing, shaping ideas that could change the world and mulling over questions like these. If you work in or run a B Corp beyond Bristol and Wales and have a soul that lights up when you're connected to the ocean and wild places, you're welcome too. Come to the edge. You'll learn to fly.

Thank you for having me in Melbourne last week Tony Hall, Adele Last - i create recruiters and People2.0 Australia (Matt King), William Buck. Top 5 FAQs (from both events); 1- Q: How much does it cost to apply for a Business Sponsorship (correctly called a Standard Business Sponsorship or SBS) and what information do you need to provide? A: It costs $420 to lodge an application, plus 1.4% credit card surcharge. Information required is are things such as (but not limited to) -financial statements -business registration details and certificate -director information -organisational chart or different roles in the business -number of Australian and foreign residents -accountant verification -business location and contact details -business representative position in company and contact details 2- Q: What areas in Australia are considered regional? A: All areas in Australia are considered regional, with the exception of -Melbourne -Sydney -Brisbane Therefore towns such as Perth, Adelaide, Newcastle, Wollongong, Gold Coast, Noosa and Geelong are all considered regional. This gives you more visa options if you want to engage an overseas worker. 3- Q: Where can you find the list of Occupations for a sponsored visa A: https://lnkd.in/gXN5ciZY 4- Q: If someone has lodged a visa in Australia and their current visa expires, do they go on a bridging visa? A: Yes. If someone is in Australia and their current visa expires before their lodged application is approved, then they will go onto a bridging visa until their Visa is approved. The bridging visa maintains the conditions of the previous visa. So if their old visa allowed them to work, they can continue to do so. 5- Q: Can someone on a bridging visa travel in and out of the country? A: A person must apply for a Bridging Visa B to be allowed to travel in and out of Australia. #immigration #migrationservices

What have you done out of the ordinary to reward your team? I help companies design and coordinate memorable experiences as incentives and rewards. The Masters, Kentucky Derby, All-Inclusive beach vacations and more. But I’m often asked, “what’s your favorite” or “what’s the most unusual trip you’ve done.” I’m a golfer, thus Augusta is always on the list, but here’s what I want you to understand: The experience isn’t about me…..and it’s not about you. It’s about those who EARNED IT! If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, look no further than the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. The event is arguably the best time you can have in Vegas. And you don’t have to be a cowboy or cowgirl to enjoy it. I arrange meet and greets, barn tours, and exclusive experiences around the NFR that even a golfer like me thoroughly enjoys. Can you imagine your team in boots and hats for a night or two having the time of their life? #bucketlistlivingwithbradnorwood #incentives #funatwork

🤔 An interesting article share by my colleague, and talented copywriter, Anne George, about the coffee culture in Melbourne. ☕ It got me thinking about the European culture of stopping in the café to drink your coffee, and taking time for meals, vs. the 'Australian' habit of coffee on the go and lunch at the desk. 🥐 Personally, I love the European culture of taking time to enjoy something as simple as a morning café au lait, or a two-course meal at lunch time, without the worry of having to be back at your desk before the boss notices. European culture tends to treat these things as sacred (especially the French!) They acknowledge that stopping to take a break and enjoy the small things in life, is important. ❓ Why do we think that 'busy is better'? This is the kind of thought pattern that breeds stress and overwhelm. If stress and overwhelm are present in your life, try this... ☕ Instead of grabbing a coffee to go in the morning, leave home 5 minutes earlier and spend that 5 minutes enjoying your coffee in the café while watching the world go by. 🍝 Instead of eating your lunch at the desk, take 15 minutes to walk outside and eat there, or simply head to the break room, if you have one. Start with 3 times a week and notice how you begin to feel calmer. Bring back coffee at the café I say!! 😊☕ #coffeeculture #overcomeanxiety #stress #overwhelm #moonbeammonday #changeyourmindchangeyourlife #mindshiftmastery
