I finished #reading #TheRideofaLifetime. Robert Iger- 6th CEO of #thewaltdisneycompany has beautifully put his career milestones in the book. There’s so much learn from the stories he shared in the book. Sharing my favourites form the list- 1. If you’re in the business of making something, be in the business of making something #great 2. The relentless pursuit of #perfection. It’s about creating an environment where people refuse to accept mediocrity. It’s about pushing back against the urge to say that “good enough” is good enough 3. Take #responsibility when you screw up 4. True #Integrity- a sense of knowing who you are and being guided by your own sense of right and wrong- is a kind of secret leadership weapon 5. Value #ability more than experience, and put people in roles that require more of them than they know they have in them 6. It should be about the #future, not the past 7. Good #leadership isn’t about being indispensable, it’s about helping others be prepared to step into your shoes 8. If something don’t feel #right to you, it won’t be right for you 9. You have to approach your work and life with a sense of genuine #humility 10. Hold on to your #awareness of yourself, even as the world tells you how important and powerful you are. The moment you look at yourself in the mirror and see a title emblazoned on your forehead, you’ve lost your way 📕 Thank you Anirudh Mendiratta for the recommendation and for the coffee. :)
Thanks for sharing the learnings Kanika Nagpal 👍
