Webflow is buying Intellimize and experimentation just got a lot more... Approachable for 1000s of marketing teams. Webflow was always missing an "easy" way to experiment. Yes, you could add 3rd party testing and experimentation tools BUT... You still had to rely on your engineers and developers to actually write code and implement an experiment. In a few months (hopefully) you would be able to do it all within the Webflow designer. They start out their announcement with: "Empowering the entire marketing team" Indeed. If you are a current customer of Webflow... Marketing teams should have fun. Like, a lot of fun. So when our team came up with the idea to launch a fake B2B SaaS for April Fools’ Day, I was immediately sold. One of our team members had the idea to create a product that helps marketer’s effectively gate all their content; which is exactly the opposite of what we preach here at Unmuted. I thought that was brilliant because it helps us position ourselves. And then somebody came up with the name Gately 😂 We soon found out there was a pretty strong .com domain name available, so we bought it on the spot. Our designer made an epic web page in Figma, 2010 style. From this point onwards, our excitement grew every hour and many creative ideas started flowing in Slack and during lunch. We created a LinkedIn company page. The website was built on Webflow in a couple of hours time. We even gated the privacy policy (lol). Funny website copy was written. The video team created a script for a hilarious product launch video. And much, much more. It took us a few days to put everything in place. But it didn’t feel like work and our regular client work didn’t suffer in any way. I’d argue this was actually a valuable exercise for our team, because we went through the exact steps our clients went through in the early stages of their companies. I’m impressed by what our team put out in such short time and I can’t wait what this creative group comes up with next year 😂 How's that for having fun? #b2bsaasmarketing #aprilfoolsday

Hello LinkedIn Fam! I wanted to share my latest project with you. I worked with xMap, a data intelligence company based in Japan, to redesign their website and to move their website to Webflow. It almost took me a month to create their website. Some tools other than Webflow that I used were Finsweet ( I used their custom attributes for CMS filter, CMS Sort, CMS Slider, etc), Relume ( I used their components and AI site Builder) and Figma ( We all know what figma is used for :) . Feeling overwhelmed with all new Webflow releases and wondering what to use when and how? Me too and here's how I like to make decisions: Always consider the implications on: 👉 present effort (how much time & effort will it take to update the project and train the collaborators) 👉 future benefit for development (does it make the development process better, leaner, safer, more maintainable) 👉 future benefit for content management (does it make it easier, safer, more maintainable for marketing team members to update the website now) Only because you can doesn't mean you should. Webflow has been changing A LOT in recent months and had some awesome updates. But with every update it's better to first understand their logic and then think about these implications above before updating client projects or switching to the new workflow. We are entering an era of multiple frameworks and workflows within Webflow and there will be many more ways of developing than we've been used to so far.
