Investing in real estate is better than investing in the stock market because of control. So you have control over the asset because you have a first mortgage. You're not investing in the stocks where the management team can just go do whatever the heck they want. You own a tangible asset with an address, you have an agreement with one other person, the person who is borrowing the money. The agreement with that other person is important because that person is improving the house week after week.
