A lot of customers have been using Maximo for several years and may be over decades to manage their critical production and infrastructure assets. Now all of them are expected to move to a new modernised and containerised version of Maximo called Maximo Application Suite (MAS). Some customers with smaller user base struggles with this decision to move forward because of infrastructure requirements or their ability to manage it themselves. They want to continue using Manage only capability. This offering from Envision Enterprise Solutions is the answer to those customers challenges. They can use SNO on AWS and continue their journey with MAS. Thanks to our Business Partners like Envision and AWS to bring this option to the market. AWS Migration Hub Orchestrator now allows you to save customized workflows as new templates for your subsequent migration and modernization projects on AWS. You can create a workflow from a predefined AWS managed template and customize the workflow based on your own needs. With this launch, you can now save the customized workflow as a new custom template to simplify your future projects and save time with no need to customize the workflow again. AWS Migration Hub Orchestrator is an orchestration tool for application migration and modernization projects on AWS. Currently, Orchestrator supports the replatforming applications to Amazon ECS, the rehosting of applications to Amazon EC2, the migrations of SAP and SQL Server workloads, and the importing of virtual machine images. You can quickly start your migration and modernization projects with a predefined workflow template, customize the workflow based on your own needs by adding or removing steps, and save as a new template for your future projects. In addition, Orchestrator also added three new public APIs to enable you to create, update, and delete the customized template.

When deploying serverless applications on AWS an excellent approach is to use the Serverless Application Model (SAM). SAM is very configurable and flexible. One important component that allows you to reuse SAM templates for different use cases is using the parameter_overrides value. This article from Beria Ozcan shows how to use this to have one (or a few) different param values for different environments while keeping the majority of the template the same.
