We received some great news in Chesapeake today from Governor Youngin, Secretary Merrick, and City of Chesapeake. LS GreenLink, one of the worlds largest power cable manufacturers, will have a 660 ft high tower as part of their new facility in Chesapeake. This is a $681 million investment and will provide over 330 high paying jobs for our region to support the off shore wind industry, with the production of subsea cables.

On July 4th, 1776, the Second Continental Congress ratified the Declaration of Independence, which established the United States of America. We now refer to this day as Independence Day and/or Fourth of July. Enjoy and God bless!

Thank you Dominion Energy & Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy for today’s tour of (CVOW) Coastal Virginia Off Shore Wind. When fully constructed, it will generate enough clean, sustainable energy to power up to 660,000 homes.
