According to ResumeBuilder.com recent report, a staggering 90% of companies aim to return to the office by 2024 😲, with giants like Goldman Sachs and Google ramping up pressure for full in-person attendance. While CEOs argue that in-person work enhances productivity and company culture, data paints a complex picture. Employee productivity has fluctuated but is generally up, and a majority of workers—68%, according to a Bankrate survey—prefer a hybrid model, challenging the conventional wisdom that the office is irreplaceable for effective work. The days of a five-day office commute are largely considered 'dead,' and companies that ignore the evolving preference for hybrid work do so at their own peril. In this new era, it's essential for businesses to adapt and offer flexible solutions without compromising productivity and employee well-being. At Aquila | On-Site Health & Fitness Management, we help companies navigate this complex landscape. From optimizing workspaces for both remote and in-office roles to integrating workplace fitness programs that enhance productivity and retention, we're your partner in creating a work environment that's adaptable, efficient, and future-ready. 🚀💼💪 https://lnkd.in/ejATkA-n #returntooffice #employeeengagement #employeewellbeing #corporatefitness #employeewellness #employeeexperience

To encourage employees to embrace the return to the office, organisations need to offer a "return on commute." Why would employees endure the commute if the workplace fails to offer anything beyond what they have at home? If people are choosing to stay away, the solution may lie in creating a culture that employees truly love. I had a thought-provoking podcast conversation with Kate Lister from Global Workplace Analytics right after Take Your Child to Work day. We delved into the evolving concept of workplace expectations amidst the shift to remote work. We discussed the significance of the company's role, the office property, and the neighborhood in meeting the needs of today's employees. Are they seeking social interactions in the office or quiet, focused work time? One key takeaway is the changing preferences of baby boomers, millennials, and Gen-Z workers. The allure of perks like ping pong tables and cereal bars may no longer hold the same appeal. Employers must now consider a holistic approach to providing a conducive workspace that encompasses the office environment, building amenities, and surrounding area. The landscape of the workplace is undergoing a transformation. It will be intriguing to revisit these dynamics in 2 years and observe how they have evolved. Now I know two Kate's focused on helping companies create a better workplace experience Kate North #WorkplaceTrends #FutureOfWork #EmployeeExpectations https://lnkd.in/gkpvGX5V

The old office is becoming obsolete! A recent meta-analysis by Nick Bloom at Stanford University shows that the traditional five-day office routine is the worst option for knowledge-work schedules. The pandemic forced organizations to experiment with work-from-home and hybrid models, and guess what? They outperformed the traditional model in productivity and employee satisfaction, all while saving businesses money. #HybridWork #RemoteWork #FutureOfWork https://lnkd.in/eEZJ6nfe
