What's one of the best things you can do for climate change? Spread the word! So it's great to see our 'Schools Campaign Team' spreading the JUST ONE Tree message at the Climate Change Summit for Schools in Essex. A fab day was had. Lots of smiles all around. And lots of schools signing up to our JUST ONE Tree Day. That's more students who'll be taught about climate change and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, more of our young feeling empowered to take control of their future, and more trees planted in the ground. #greenerfuture #sustainablefuture #climateeducation Essex County Council #climateaction

First panel of 2024. I had a great time talking about the nexus between Education and Climate Change and it was such a treat to listen to educators. The low down? We need to include "climate" as part of our educational curriculum today (primary-tertiary levels). In addition, we need to increase general awareness on the effects of climate change in our communities. It is not just a buzzword, it is real and it is affecting how we live. We need to learn how to mitigate and adapt to it in order to guarantee our future survival. Great work Womenovate #developmentbankofnigeria #climatechange #internationaldayofeducation #sustainability

Children are the ones who will be most affected by climate change, yet they are the ones who are least responsible for causing it. We need to take action on climate change now, for the sake of our children and for the sake of future generations. We need to ensure that everyone has access to education to learn about the climate crisis and how to fight it. Together, we can create a better future for our children. #sustainability #climatechange #climateaction #gretathunberg

What is it that often prevents us from having meaningful conversations about climate change? It's a challenge we hear about a lot. People want to talk about climate change with their colleagues, families, friends, at the school gates, but often find it really difficult. There's the fear of being seen as a bit preachy or judgemental. Or perhaps feeling blocked by a perceived lack of knowledge. Maybe it's just the anxiety of being met by a wall of silence. The problem is, to drive the change required to tackle this crisis, we all need to be talking about it. Cue our announcement of a brand new programme we are running with Larger Us - to deliver training designed to help us overcome the barriers we have to hold meaningful Climate Conversations. We will share more over the coming weeks. But the Parents For Future community can't wait to get started. #climatechange #climateconversations #letstalk #forfuturessake

We need to understand the importance of equally developing all three domains of education: 🍀cognitive, 🍀affective, and 🍀psychomotor in climate change education. We need to feed our children with knowledge on climate change mitigation. It is essential to grow a sense of responsibility in their minds to save nature. They need to have hands on experience and practical skills to successfully engage in climate action. #climateaction #climatechange #ClimateAction #nova #novathenaturebuddy #childrensbooks #climateeducation
