We celebrate and honor #Juneteenth. On this day, donations and a portion of today's proceeds will go to benefit the Last Prisoner Project to help raise awareness of the mass incarceration in #cannabis and racially biased drug laws that still exist. #justice #wearejushi

As we advocate for reforms to the criminal justice system that address issues like recidivism and collateral harm, we can take immediate action to support those affected in the meantime. The Alleviate Justice-Involved Persons Re-entry Organisation, in partnership with Diamond Pharmacy Masvingo, is spearheading a Winter Prison Donation Drive to provide essential items to incarcerated individuals and those transitioning back into the community. During this critical period, we are collecting donations of blankets, socks, red and white wool, white material, and orange material to help alleviate the hardships faced by those in the prison system. These basic necessities can make a significant difference in the lives of justice-involved persons, particularly as they navigate the challenges of re-entry and work to break the cycle of recidivism. By supporting this donation drive, you can contribute to the well-being of those affected by the shortcomings of the current criminal justice system. Your generosity can help foster a more humane and rehabilitative approach, laying the groundwork for a future where prevention and reintegration are prioritized over punitive measures.

Lives are changing in Dallas / Fort Worth and the new opportunities to help are endless. In a world where law enforcement is the tip of the spear in the fight to end human trafficking, they are under resourced more than ever. Freed People's people, processes and technology are designed to support law enforcement in this fight. We are working with more law enforcement agencies than ever before. We need your help to increase the number of our recovery teams so that we can meet the demand. We are confident we can help locate and recover more victims of sex trafficking with your help! We work hard so the money you donate makes a difference. A study in 2021 showed that $31,275.99 was donated per sex-trafficking recovery. Freed People averages under $2,800 per recovery. Our people, processes and technology are the difference. Our vision is recovery. Our dream is that one day we won't have to. freedpeople.org #endhumantrafficking #grateful #justice #freedom

Livestreamed child sexual abuse is happening right now, but the abuse is not virtual. It's happening in real-time to real children like Azalea*. Together we can stop it - and bring light and hope. IJM has brought over 1,200 children and young people to safety so far, and seen trafficking decrease by up to 86% in places where work, including the Philippines. Will you consider giving this week - and giving double the impact? It really is the best time to give as your gift will be doubled by the Big Give for one week only. Give now: IJMUK.org/stop
Azalea* was only 14. All she wanted was to help her sick little sister. For six years, Azalea’s neighbour abused her for sex offenders to watch online 💻 Today is #GivingTuesday, and it's the best time to give hope to stop child trafficking and abuse as your gift will be DOUBLED*. ✨ There is hope to stop this crime: IJM worked with police to bring Azalea to safety and support her to heal and today, Azalea is a powerful advocate for ending this abuse. But right now, thousands of children like Azalea are still trapped. 🔦 You can help give hope to children trafficked and trapped in abuse this Christmas and give double the impact. 💙 Now is the best time to donate: IJMUK.org/stop *Azalea is a pseudonym. Stock images and pseudonyms used to protect survivors. An MIT Study finds Juvenile Incarceration ineffective. While incarceration may seem like the best solution to get our troubled youth off our streets, the short-term and lifelong effects are more detrimental – and affect our entire community. The study found that juvenile incarceration does NOT reduce future crime, and its negative impacts can last a LIFETIME. Instead, troubled youth are: - Removed from their schools, families & homes - Surrounded by other troubled young people - Stigmatized and classified as troubled - Unlikely to return to school But, there’s hope with JIFF. We’ve seen it. ___ Help us help them: -> Become a mentor: https://lnkd.in/e2eZk6NF -> Donate: www.JiffYouth.org/donate -> Spread the word: www.JiffYouth.org JIFF: Juvenile Intervention and Faith-Based Follow Up #JIFF #JiffYouth

What better way to move on DVDs ?
I need to get a van load of DVDs from bath to donate to a London prison- long shot - but anyone Bath / Bristol based with a van that goes into London... I could even drive it if you have a van. I have so many boxes of DVDs, that our recently deceased hoarder neighbour collected over many years. All the cert 18 have been filtered out. He'd would have been so happy that his prized collection will go to people in prison.

Sex buying is akin to alcoholism or any other addiction - it is filling voids in unsustainable ways. But it is worse than substance abuse. Why? It involves a victim. When people avoid their inner work and distract themselves with drugs, p0rn or sex buying, it opens them up to a world of meaninglessness and is a continued downward, toxic spiral. Additionally, spiritually/energetically speaking, sex buyers take on the darkness/toxicity of others who have violated this individual/victim, whom they are paying to rape or have meaningless, transactional sex with. This allows for a deep, dark, downward spiral. It goes against the natural order of things. It affects the psyche and our society. Want to ditch depression, worthlessness, and suicidal thoughts? Stop the addictions and do your inner work. Lack of self-awareness and accountability is impacting the world in horrible ways. No person deserves to be an object bought and sold by another. When sex buyers and p0rn addicts with a conscience (albeit a buried one) learn that their illicit activity fuels the buying and selling of humans and is indeed the fuel that allows these crimes to morph ... some of them actually change their ways. Keep shining the light Nic McKinley & DeliverFund! #voids #transactional #addiction #awakening #demandresponse
"Buyers" are predominantly men who are kept in the dark about the true nature of what they perceive to be consenting sex work. Oftentimes the girls are under 18 and are forced and exploited to commit these acts. Traffickers' victims are coerced to lie and misrepresent their circumstances--and these "buyers" are unknowingly taking part in human trafficking that's hiding in plain sight. We believe in good food for all, including our incarcerated neighbors. When we launched our work on prison food in 2018, we uncovered the threads of our nation’s prison food crisis—the way it threatens incarcerated people’s physical and mental wellbeing, sends people home from prison sick, adds extra burdens to families and communities, and even harms our environment, creating an unfathomable amount of food waste when poor quality or inedible food ends up in the trash. We can do better. Today Impact Justice is pushing towards a brighter future for food in prison with new ideas and partnerships. Teaming up with Brigaid and the Maine Department of Corrections, our #ChefsinPrisons project is piloting a new, chef-led model for improving prison food service that could be replicated across the country. It’s already making a difference for the 1,600 people incarcerated in Maine. We can’t launch and test new innovations without your support. This #GivingTuesday, support good food for all by making a donation to Chefs in Prisons. Your donation will be DOUBLED thanks to a $25,000 matching gift from our partners at the Posner Foundation of Pittsburgh. Donate today: https://lnkd.in/g67shE4s

Home is more than a roof over your head; it's about community. This #SecondChanceMonth, we're teaming up with Impact Justice to provide fresh, home cooked meals to people returning from prison as part of their work to support safe, successful reentry through The Homecoming Project. #SecondChanceMonth recognizes the importance of supportive reentry for people returning home after incarceration. Every year, 30,000 people are released from jails and prisons in California; Impact Justice's Homecoming Project matches people returning from prison with host families to support their transition home. If you're in the Bay Area, help us welcome formerly incarcerated folks back into our community by donating a meal to a Homecoming Project participant! 1. Select your delivery date + dishes on Shef! 2. At checkout, select “Donate a meal to the Homecoming Project." 3. Choose the quantity of meals you’d like to donate! 4. Enjoy your meal! A Homecoming Project participant is also enjoying a meal that you made possible.
