Today is #Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of the resilience, strength, and perseverance of Black communities throughout history. It's a day to celebrate freedom and progress, but also to reflect on the long journey toward equality and justice that is still ongoing. At Daré we work every day towards a more just and equitable world in which access to reliable healthcare is a fundamental right for everyone. Importantly, #healthequity requires working together to bring awareness and action to racial disparities and improving health outcomes. We honor the legacy of Juneteenth by continuing to educate ourselves, amplify Black voices, and work towards a more inclusive and equitable society. Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a significant milestone in American history marking the end of slavery in the United States. On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is a time for reflection, education, and action. As we honor the resilience and contributions of the Black community, let’s also commit to fostering equality and justice in our workplaces and communities. Let’s honor this historic day by educating ourselves, supporting Black-owned businesses, and standing up for justice and equality. Together, we can build a future where freedom truly means freedom for everyone. In observance of Juneteenth, the Association Forum office is closed. #WeAreForum #Juneteenth #WelcomingAF
