There is a huge difference between delivering content and teaching. When meeting with aspiring teachers it is important to help them not just understand pedagogy, but practice teaching. Objectives are the roadmap, cultural competence is the connection, guided practice facilitates the acquisition of new knowledge, feedback scaffolds learning - closure reminds the children or what we pracficed and why. Are you delivering content or teaching? #UPenn #teachereducation #UTAP
