Far too often we avoid pain and discomfort when it comes. The greatest lessons I’ve ever learned have come through some of the most tragic experiences of my life. • Allow your pain to produce a path and a purpose. • Allow your crushing to create character and contentment. The longer you spend running from your pain and discomfort, the longer it will take to heal. Sit in it. Observe and reflect. It will pass. And you will be better for it. No one’s life is a breeze 24/7. So, here’s what you can do when it turns into a tornado. Give your brain a break. Breathe in. Scan around you. Spot something or a situation. Now, find out why this made you stop. Was it an unusual situation? Something intriguing? A funny moment? Not so funny? Now you have it. Cling to it for a few seconds. Make it a bubble, your bubble of peace. See how the time slows down. Enjoy the moment. Breathe out. Why does it work? Because you force your brain to switch its focus lens. It allows you to quit the turmoil and watch it from afar. PS: Feeling better?
