As I gear up for the trail marathon, I'm reminded of the importance of both planning and strategy – not just in athletics, but in life and business too. It’s the final day of pediatric cancer awareness month. Tomorrow we will be pink everywhere - on football fields, 5k fundraisers, beverage cans, tote bags, and more. And we should be - breast cancer is horrific, as are all cancers. Today though, we are still gold. Gold for kids who are the warriors we could never have imagined. Gold for kids who are our future leaders and business partners. Gold for my daughter, a 9-year survivor of a rare and aggressive pediatric bone cancer that often claims the lives of the children it targets. 4% of research funding in the U.S. is spent on childhood cancer. 4%. This is unacceptable. You can make a difference by your vote and by giving to organizations that make impact.
