Potty training children early, that is really sustainable! This was the headline of the article in the prominent Dutch newspaper NRC yesterday. The article states: “Diapers generate so much waste that municipalities are urging the Dutch national government to act. By promoting cloth diapers, for example. But getting children potty trained earlier still has the most effect.” Great to read and a real support for our mission at Go Potty. At Go Potty we help parents, childcare organisations and municipalities with potty training with our innovative app and software. Children Are Potty Trained Two Years Later In the 1940s, children were potty trained at around one year. Children in the western world are now potty trained on average at around three years old. This increase is caused on the one hand by the convenience of disposable diapers, and on the other hand because of the parenting style that emerged in the 1960s with its trend for waiting ‘until your child is ready’. ‘Wait Until Your Child Shows Interest’ Myth Many parents interpret ‘wait until your child is ready’ as ‘wait until your child shows interest in the potty’. However, there is no need to wait for this. There are many other signs that indicate that your child is ready for potty training. Want to know if your child is ready? Do the free test in the Go Potty app (you can find us in the Appstore and Google Play Store). The myth to ‘wait until your child shows interest’ is perpetuated by the diaper industry. The diaper industry is a very powerful 71 billion dollar industry. They sell more diapers if children are potty trained later. This is great for the diaper industry, but no so great for children, parents and the planet. Want to know more? See www.gopottynow.com or send me DM. The easiest way to develop a website is to use your desktop, Laptop, or Smart TV along with another device. Go on YouTube, look up a Site Builder, and follow the instructions on your Laptop. Make sure your name is consistent on all platforms. (example Alternative Living LLC). Get the “Word Out”.You want to get clients/residents, through the door as fast as possible. The more people you can attract and care for, the more chance you have of receiving bonafide referrals. (And nothing builds a business better than referrals. Have an Open House, where you invite Hospital Discharge Planners, Senior housing Managers, and others. Aging is not stagnant, what is appropriate one day may not be appropriate the next day. Google My Business (GMB) allows you to create a free business profile on Google where you can attract new clients via Local Search and the Map Pack. Get permission to list on referral sites. One of the best ways to land more clients/residents is to list on industry lead gen sites clients trust these independent sites, plus they usually rank high in the search results. Tips for Marketing Kids' Clothing on Social Media Platforms Marketing kids' clothing on social media requires a strategic approach to engage parents effectively while appealing to children’s interests. Here are some tips to boost your online presence and sales: Visual Appeal: Use high-quality images and videos that showcase the vibrant colors, fun patterns, and unique designs of your clothing. Children and parents are drawn to visually stimulating content. Engaging Content: Share behind-the-scenes videos of your design process, customer testimonials, or styling tips. Create interactive posts like polls, quizzes, and contests to foster engagement. Influencer Collaborations: Partner with parenting influencers or family bloggers. Their endorsement can significantly expand your reach and add credibility to your brand. User-Generated Content: Encourage parents to share photos of their children wearing your clothes, tagging your brand. Feature this content on your page to build a community and authentic connection with your audience. Seasonal Promotions: Align your marketing efforts with holidays and seasons. Launch special collections and offer exclusive discounts during back-to-school, Halloween, or Christmas. Targeted Ads: Use social media ads to reach specific demographics. Facebook and Instagram offer robust targeting options to help you reach parents based on location, interests, and behaviors. Engage with Followers: Promptly respond to comments and messages. Engaging with your audience builds trust and loyalty, making them more likely to become repeat customers. By implementing these strategies, you can effectively market your kids' clothing line and create a strong, loyal customer base on social media. https://lnkd.in/eBiPGkPe
