While trying to arrange a meet last week, Karin Ovari and I got in a right pickle 🥒.....
Unbeknownst to Karin, when I say 'Sunday dinner', its not day or time bound, its just a thing I like to eat. When I say dinner, I mean lunch, and tea means dinner. So when two friends struggle to make a date for some food, albeit from different continents, is it any wonder we struggle to communicate at work?
I am always a bit shocked, but not massively surprised, when we get delegates from the same company, sometimes the same asset, on a training course, who aren't aware of environmental initiatives etc in the company/place of work/shift rotation.
Because it wasn't effectively communicated.
What a trick being missed! The company isn't realising the benefits of their efforts and huge amounts of time and resources are wasted through multiple, and repeat communications.
These challenges were the reason I started the E-Reps Network back in 2012, but the weakness is, people don't necessarily know the scope of resources available-because of ineffective communication channels!
Moving forward, all training delegates will get access to a new members area on www.erepsnetwork.com. You can also get involved if you haven't been on a course to take advantage of a raft of resources gained from an industry wide approach to improving workforce engagement on environmental issues over more than 10 years.
Drop me a line 📩 info@erepsnetwork.com to take up a months free trial. It will change how you do environmental business.
Taking this a step further is the new Enviro Risk Exchange conference and exhibition. This time, we are going cross sector to leverage the extensive skills, expertise, innovations and solutions for improving environmental performance.
This one is a game changer and open to anyone working the high hazard sector.

Most importantly, just keep talking!
