I *think* some of it is that a lot of developers and designers forget what it’s like to be just a user. When we test our apps or plan them we’re thinking through how we want them to look and work. The end user is only asking “will this help accomplish my task?” In many cases the app is a nuisance or a part of the job/task they’ve been assigned, so they have 1,000 other things going on. Point being, design requires empathy. It requires you to put yourself in the end user’s shoes and realize it might be a 5am shift where they’re just waking up, so what’s “intuitive” 1pm when they’re fully awake may not be at 5am when they’re getting started. What’s intuitive for a developer or designer may not be for the end user. Simplicity is genius.
Software engineers and UI/UX designers are usually smart people. They design and code complex applications and complex interfaces so many times. But users of those apps are for their vast majority average and low IQ people. Therefor unusable apps. It happens to me either (I am average), from time to time to open some app or website, full of features, buttons, paths etc. I find myself lost and I do not know what to click or what to do. And because I am a courageous person, I always decide to click something that look closer to what I am searching for in that app. In 90% of cases is not what I want. Be a little bit less smart please!

Why UI/UX Is Important? 👇👇 👏Whatsapp changed its interface again. All the menu has been moved down. 🤔There was no need of doing it, right? but, look at the other side. 😊 The app looks much more clean and simple. 🥰 This is some vital information that an UI/UX person can come up with to make user stick on their platform. Design is very simple but very beautiful. By doing this, Meta has proofed it again that they will not their user stick to regular interface for a longer period of time. This move will certainly increase more screen time on the app. Great Job Meta #whatsapp #uiuxdesign #uiuxdesigner
