I want to present to you my university graduation project - the design concept of the mobile game "Halloween attack". The project is a design concept of a mobile, casual game in the shooter and tower defense genres, which is based on the general cultural traditions of the modern international Halloween holiday. When developing the design concept of the project, special attention was paid to targeting the broad masses. As an idea for the project, a topic familiar in different cultures was chosen. Ideas that are understandable in different countries and for different ages allow you to attract more players, and, accordingly, bring more profit. It began with Gabriel Kane in 2020 and it will end with Gabriel Kane in 2024. The Dark Titan Company has officially announced the Symbolum Venatores Prose Series will end in Spring 2024 with Symbolum Venatores, a new rebranded collection of Gabriel Kane’s stories. This decision came about after a discussion regarding the transmedia potential of the IP. Symbolum Venatores is an IP which focuses on monster hunters throughout human history. With history as its playbook, the IP is abundant across various mediums of storytelling. Keeping it within the boundaries of prose will only cause the IP to become stagnant. With The Dark Titan Company now official, the plans are in motion to expedite the IP’s growth in other mediums, primarily in games and animation. So far there have been a total of four prose titles released from the IP. (Symbolum Venatores: The Gabriel Kane Collection, Hod, Symbolum Venatores: War of The Two Kingdoms, Symbolum Venatores: Twilight of the Gods) with the next installment, Symbolum Venatores: The Monster Hunter set to release on October 13th. Projects in the works outside of prose are Symbolum Venatores: Mystery of the Magician: a story set to be an animated film, Symbolum Venatores: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, a limited-series set to also be in animation. Other projects previously announced are The Graphic Novel Trilogy, which is a direct sequel to Twilight of the Gods and a Symbolum Venatores Manga. From this business change, the two final prose titles, Hallow Hunt and Revelation of Hunters will be moved to other mediums, more likely animation or games. This is due to their increased story structure, one that gives the opportunity for a more wider experience into the Symbolum Venatores IP that the prose books cannot deliver. For now, only two prose titles remain from the IP as Gabriel Kane’s final stories will conclude outside of the prose medium. Animated game adaptations are having a great year—and it’s only getting better. 🎬 Due to the recent success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie and The Last of Us HBO series, Hollywood has a growing appetite for game #IPs. Other smaller but still successful releases include: ⦿ The Angry Birds Movie ⦿ League of Legends’ animated series (Arcane) ⦿ Subway Surfers’ YouTube show ⦿ RAID: Shadow Legends’ YouTube show Indie titles are also getting adapted: The Cuphead Show! has three seasons on Netflix, and Among Us and Vampire Survivors both have adaptations in the works. 🎬 Film and TV adaptations bring in additional revenue at little to no cost for IP holders. Since studios and networks pay for production, there’s little financial risk for licensors.
