There will be NO more important role in GTM than RevOps in 5 (3?) years. Not AE, not VP of Sales, not SDR, not Demand Gen, not Content Mktg…nothing. Why? 1. Connection RevOps connects all the systems together. All this tech has to be run by someone, wired up, maintained. A human is still required to prompt the AI Overlords (for now). 2. Automation Connected systems allow automation — that’s the point of them. Automation is the only way to compete in today’s economic environment. Automate or die. 3. Unbiased RevOps could give a flip about who gets paid commission or gets create for a new opp. They just want to get stuff done and move on to what’s next. 4. Diversity RevOps has its hand in marketing, sales, accounting, finance, CS, etc. When I want to know what’s going on in a business, I ask a RevOps professional. They have the widest perspective. 5 Technical They can code. They can use Excel. They understand complex formulas and prompts. RevOps is project management + a sprinkle of technical skills + a dash of communications + a hint of ideation. That’s a tasty meal. You can’t invest in RevOps early enough. RevOps pros will make more than AEs soon. RevOps will single-handedly make or break an entire GTM team.

Spot on! RevOps is the glue that holds GTM teams together and helps keep the train on track. RevOps is and should be more than a Hubspot or Salesforce admin that's just one part of what RevOps can do. RevOps is there to help your GTM teams build out process using your systems and help find and repair leaky spots in your GTM strategy.

"Building an SDR AI agent at 6sense" was not the job role for someone at 6sense that I expected to see today. If this is real, it's eye-opening for a number of reasons ⬇ 6sense is a kingpin in GTM tech famous for years of domination in the account based marketing and analytics space. But now (if this title is real), it seems they might sneakily be making their way into the AI SDR crowd as well to compete against the recent wave of startups including Unify, 11x.ai, Bluebirds, AISDR, etc. It's interesting because 6sense has been at the center of controversy the past couple months thanks to scathing reviews over data quality from GTM teams, general backlash on their pricing, and Adam Robinson's amazing public drama with them. Maybe they are starting to listen? 😳 Putting the negativity aside though... 6sense is a company that spends aggressively, has a large headcount, and already has an insane number of customers. Those are the types of things that can crush an entire product niche within months if they decide to enter it. Competition wise, I see a couple players here aside from the smaller startups just taking off: ZoomInfo - I don't think ZoomInfo will ever move in the AI SDR direction. That's not their thing in the slightest. Apollo.io - I could maybe see this being a play for Apollo. The only issue is that adding a product like this would make absolutely no sense for Apollo's seat based pricing and would somewhat screw up their entire business model. At least 6sense could sell an AI SDR to their current customers. Apollo trying to do the same would be odd. Clay - Could Clay ever enter this space? Maybe? Like theoretically they could, although I'm not sure they would want anything to do with email deliverability being apart of their product. That seems like a disaster waiting to happen. They already crush on the data side, and I think they can become the one stop shop for absolutely everything that isn't sending emails. I'm interested to see what happens here. I think the best tools moving forward are going to be the ones where you can do everything from a single platform (or as much as possible). If this is 6sense's play, it's certainly a weird one and seems almost like a backwards move, but everyone in GTM wants the new shiny toy, and at the moment... that's AI SDRs.

Having access to other smart brains is a gamechanger.🧠 2️⃣ Speed matters Test fast, fail fast, iterate faster. The more you fail and improve, the better. Especially in this fast paced phase of AI… …strategies expire fast. …new tools pop up every day. …you can’t risk falling behind. So test as much as you can. Then implement what’s working. 3️⃣ Automate what’s possible Tasks are piling up fast if you’re growing. If you’re not prepared it’s going to crush you. We did this mistake already. Automated a lot if it. Automations not only reduce workload but also… …streamline your workflows. …prevent forgotten tasks. …minimize critical errors. Automations aren’t rocket science. Make and Zapier can get you started quickly. 4️⃣ Communication is key It’s normal that sometimes results aren’t good… The important part is how to handle that. Address issues proactively with clients. Come up with action steps to solve it. Do both quickly and you’ll be fine. We have Slack channels with our clients for fast comms. 5️⃣ Get s**t done I think everyone’s been there…procrastination. It’s easy to map down big plans, ideas etc. to feel busy… But it’s easy to fall into the trap of fake productivity. Prioritize tasks after business and revenue impact.
