At least 23 countries have more than 1 time zone. Which ones are in the top 3? 🥇During the 16th and 17th centuries, the French empire experienced a great expansion. Nowadays, traces of French territory are spread around the world. With a total of 13 time zones, France takes first place. 🥈🥉Russia and the United States: With 11 time zones, both countries are tied. 🇦🇺 Australia is number 4. The mainland of Australia experienced an expansion towards close islands after the British settlers established control of the continent in 1788.
