Most workers are unlikely to need specialist artificial intelligence (AI) skills but the technology will fundamentally change the work they do. That is the conclusion of the just-released OECD - OCDE research report examining the impact of AI on the demand for particular skills. The research found evidence of decreasing demand for cognitive, digital, processing and resource management skills in organisations highly exposed to AI. Attention grabbing headline! For those that joined us for our webinar a couple of weeks ago (a recording and summary is available if you want to DM me), where we discussed AI and Higher Education (as well as some of the broader impact), we had perhaps a more positive slant. I haven't had chance to read the full report, but what it doesn't mention really in its summary is the jobs that will be created through technology. It touches on augmentation, but not the concept that it is highly likely there will be new roles, that we can't predict yet, that will be created. It is worth a read, but I do think it is somewhat headline-grabbing (who doesn't do that these days!). #skynet #AI #endofjobs

Xiaochen Z. from AI 2030 sharing his views on skills needed to get ahead 🚀 👉 Every job will be potentially redesigned under the concept of human-machine collaborative intelligence. 👉The machines will be part of the work itself, not a tool anymore. 👉AI will be the differentiator in staying competitive in the jobs market. 👉We need to be effectively prompting and communicating with LLMs and be proficient in using AI tools. 👉However, we need to also focus on authenticity and creativity fueled by real life experiences, something that machines cannot replicate.
