Can you support 8 young women to meet their opportunities and potential? It's the season of giving. Can you include these young women in your family circle of giving and show them others believe in them too? Let's put our money where our mouths are and invest in a different future today for First Nations young people. Because 80% of funding that is in First Nations communities and youth spaces goes towards crisis response, case management of those already in services. And to 'reactions to the challenges and crisis ' some of our mob exist or are trying to rise from. More MONEY from Government goes towards building jails than it does empowering our mob. I would bet (Happy to be proven wrong if someone knows numbers and stats) that more CORPORATE money goes towards hosting events and talking about DOING good. Rather than HITTING the ground where it is needed. Or more would go into marketing what they are doing than the support itself. Let's change this.

LinkedIn has a massive opportunity it's not capitalizing on. tl;dr on my original post (link in first comment): LI should include a formal section of profiles where you list how people can thank you for helping them, namely causes and NPOs to donate to. I do it in my 'About'. I helped a friend with a few key intros. Instead of a bottle of booze or similar he followed my request and donated to our local food pantry. Look at the impact! (if you don't look at the image, it was ***416 meals*** for people in need).
