Jon McNeill’s Post

I’ve often joked that I have an “idea disease.” But it’s honestly true. And it’s something that I have in common with my other partners at DVx. It’s what led us to structure our VC differently – instead of going out to find good companies to invest in, we create them ourselves. I joined the Equity pod to chat with Kirsten Korosec about this approach to building companies, the famous “2 and 20” structure in VC, and how we think about compensation and equity as an incentive for our founders. https://lnkd.in/eJE6_ZH5

I love this distinction. Much like real estate, you often pay a huge premium for buying something someone else has built…that doesn’t factor in many of the “warts” that you can’t even see on Day 1. When you already know how to build quickly like you do, makes perfect sense Jon!
