"Assessing Perceived Effect of Non-pharmaceutical Interventions on SARS-CoV-2 Transmission Risk: An Experimental Study in Europe" This large-scale online experiment involving 6567 participants across six European countries aimed to measure the perceived effectiveness of various non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) in lowering the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission. Using discrete choice experiments, the study evaluated participants' perceptions based on features such as mask wearing, indoor/outdoor contact, meeting duration, number of people present, and physical distancing measures. #COVID19 #NonPharmaceuticalInterventions #SARSCoV2 #TransmissionRisk #PublicPerception #Europe #DiscreteChoiceExperiment #HealthGuidelines #PandemicResearch #PublicHealth https://lnkd.in/dxiBM5ZP

Vaccines have been the cornerstone of disease prevention for centuries, but the COVID-19 pandemic brought a new approach to vaccine development. Traditionally, researchers had to tailor manufacturing processes for each vaccine candidate, but the mRNA vaccines brought a new way of thinking. The scientific knowledge gained from one vaccine can now be directly transferable to another, which has far-reaching implications for how researchers make drugs to treat many diseases. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown us that innovation is the key to progress, and it is exciting to see what breakthroughs the future holds for medicine. #vaccine #mRNA #BIRAC
