Interesting Harvard Business Review article about AI’s impact on talent management and the 3 big shifts organizations need to make: 1️⃣ Redefine jobs as skills, not titles. Think of employees as collections of abilities, not just positions. This lets you match the right people to the right tasks, regardless of their title. 2️⃣ Focus on skills and learning. Make it easy for employees to learn new skills and develop existing ones. This will keep them engaged and adaptable in a changing workplace. 3️⃣ Use AI for collaboration. Let AI handle routine tasks, freeing up human teams to focus on what they do best: working together creatively. #talentmanagement #AI #futureofwork

A few takeaways to note about 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐈. Yesterday, I attended an insightful webinar organized by The Shift Community featuring industry thought leaders Josh, Estelle Maione, and Maxwell. The discussion highlighted a closer look into skills for HR professionals in the age of AI: understanding the capabilities our organizations need and whether our people possess the necessary skills. 1. Employees continue to seek clarity on the skills required for their roles. 2. Organizations need to prioritize core skills (not the development of all skills) 3. Recognizing that while the company plays a role in their skill development, employees also have a responsibility to ensure they are equipped to perform. AI can support various functions, empowering people to become more capable. The focus should be on enabling individuals to effectively perform and demonstrate the required skills. #HR #AI #SkillDevelopment #EmployeeEngagement #LearningAndDevelopment

The rapid evolution of capabilities within AI requires us to reimagine work, whether it be knowledge work (GenAI) or physical work (robots). This article is a great read, and while the focus is on healthcare in this piece, the underlying approach/process can (and should!) be applied to all work. Great article Sam Schlimper and Judith Scimone! #work #AI
