🥇 I was honored by Time magazine when they named me “Person of the Year.” I am not going to lie. It felt good to be finally recognized. In my new celebrity status, I was ready to be noticed everywhere, sign autographs, and do guest appearances on talk shows. Then it hit me. Maybe no one even cared about my leatherbound books or that my home smelled of rich mahogany. Checking your ego at the door is one of life’s greatest battles. It’s just as hard as figuring out how to win an argument with your mother-in-law or trying to cite the quadratic equation upside down while solving a Rubik’s cube. It can be done, but it’s hard. At Northrop Grumman we commit to shared success. It’s one of our core values. Egos can get in the way of shared success. On my team we lift each other and support one another because we understand that it’s not just about individual achievement. Today, I want to share a powerful lesson in collaboration, discipline, and excellence—inspired by the **U.S. Navy Blue Angels**. ## **1. The Blue Angels: A Symphony of Precision** The Blue Angels, established in 1946, serve as a proud symbol of the Navy and Marine Corps' finest. Their awe-inspiring formations and death-defying maneuvers have inspired millions of spectators worldwide. But beyond the thrilling airshows, the Blue Angels exemplify the true essence of teamwork. ## **2. Trust at 500 Miles Per Hour** Imagine flying directly at each other, less than **100 feet off the ground**, at speeds pushing **500 miles per hour**. Mistakes are not an option. Want to be an expert? Here's how... Learn as much as you can. About different aspects of your work. Not just your bit. When I worked at Rolls Royce. I changed roles every 3 months. This gave me insight. Into all the moving parts of the business. Beyond my own. Even though I didn't want to stay in those roles. It was valuable to learn about each one. So if you want to be an expert. Expose yourself to new things. The more you do that. The quicker you'll become. The expert you want to be.

5 Years at Delta Air Lines!   Who knew that five years ago when I accepted this job, it would be the adventure of a lifetime. And little did I know that it would end up giving me so much more than just the next chapter in my career. It's given me friendships and family, memories, challenges, and experiences that I couldn’t have dreamed of. These past five years have continued to shape my leadership and have deepened my commitment to excellence.  Most importantly, I couldn’t have done it without the most amazing team and coworkers- they continue to change how I see the world every day!   If I am confident about anything, it’s that NO ONE Better Connects The World than Delta.
