Ever been to a Demo Day? I went to my first one yesterday- A day set out for startups to make their bold pitches to potential investors, mentors and a community of entrepreneurs. As a coach for the Barclays Black Founder Accelerator by Foundervine I saw some of the cohorts pitch their business ideas. Two things stood out to me 🏹 Firstly, the undeniable significance of great presentation skills. The ability to command attention and convey your message effectively is not just a skill - it's an art. 🏹 Secondly, the force of storytelling. The entrepreneurs who could weave their narratives compellingly won the audience. A pitch isn't just about what you're selling, but how you sell it. It was great seeing Tommie Edwards FRSA, one of the amazing Founders who has mastered the above skills!
