Its a wrap! For the last three days I’ve been at LinkedIn Learning’s Carpinteria studios recording my FIFTH PowerPoint course (name TBA). I had so much fun with this one, showing users how to design and animate quickly but effectively, and make amazing things in a short amount of time. It was a lot of hard work, but I think this is going to be a really great course! A big thanks to my producers Nicole Mangona, PMP and Chris Mosier for keeping me focused and calm, while listening to all my dumb jokes in the booth. I can’t wait to share this course with you all when it drops!

About six years ago, a big opportunity fell into my lap...to teach a course on presentation design on Lynda.com (now known as LinkedIn Learning). I was absolutely thrilled...and scared out of my mind at the same time. After composing myself, I decided to call this first course "Secrets of Silicon Valley" and make it a behind the scenes look at what I experienced as a designer in the technology sector, and share some of the techniques I learned along the way that could help learners uplevel their presentation skills. The course did really well, and it started me on my online instruction journey.So cut to five years later. I got to do something you don't get to do every day...a redo! That's right, I got to completely overhaul the first course I ever taught, and update mostly everything. I was so honored to be invited to speak to the Food and Agricuture Organization of the United Nations last week (yes, THOSE United Nations) at one of their Zoom in on Learning sessions. I don’t often speak internationally, so it was great to connect with so many people overseas and talk about how how to make their presentations more impactful and engaging!
