Self-acceptance is NOT about always feeling good and on top of the world. We can’t control what life throws at us, and we will have bad days - that’s inevitable. So what is self-acceptance about? It’s about managing our reactions, our emotions, and having the ability to acknowledge our feelings, and also find joy in small moments even on the harder days. Some days you may be tired and other days you may be angry, but what can you do in these different moments in order to cultivate more joy? On days when I’m feeling chaotic, overwhelmed, or like my brain won’t stop, it can be really helpful for me to take a little time to clean up my space. I’ve found that a fresh, clean home helps me feel fresh and clean mentally as well. It could look like laundry, cleaning counters, redecorating, loading the dishwasher, or rearranging your office. Whatever it is, find the SMALL actions that you can take on the not so great days - because you deserve to find some joy and love. xo, Abby

Just like a Sunday, when you want to enjoy the last moments of the weekend but know that the workweek is approaching, August invites us to make the most of the final days of beach fun while knowing that fall is on its way. I can vividly recall, when I was feeling overwhelmed one day, that a very good friend reminded me that "You Can't Clean the Whole House All at Once". Now obviously you can, but it isn't necessarily a healthy way to approach housework......... or indeed anything! In our quest for getting stuff done, it's easy to get caught up in the idea of 'just getting on with it'. But just like tidying up a messy house, it's essential to recognize that real sustained long term progress needs systems, routines, time and patience. 🕰️ Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is a thriving career. It's about breaking tasks into manageable chunks, focusing on one area at a time, and celebrating the small victories along the way. 💡 Whether you're tackling a complex project, building your professional network, losing weight, getting fit, having a clean and functioning home or honing your skills, remember that consistent effort yields results. 🌟 So, the next time you feel overwhelmed by the enormity of your goals, remind yourself: "Don't try clean the whole house all at once." Take it one room, one task, one step at a time, and you will see long term results.

Spring is well underway— how's that Spring cleaning coming along? Here are a few tips to help you catch up and have the tidiest summer ever! ☀️⁠ • Try decluttering sprints: Set a timer and get as much done in the time allocated, then move on to something fun! • Clean out the fridge: Toss anything in there that is obviously spoiled or where age is a mystery. Wipe down all the shelves before putting items back in. • Inventory utility supplies: Go through things like lightbulbs and batteries. Then pull categories together and arrange so that items are visible. • Organize outdoor spaces: Use these last few temperate days before the hot summer months to organize outdoor spaces, like garages and sheds. • Go through closets: Eliminate items that are stained, damaged, dated, or off-size. Move current season clothes to the most accessible location and highlight ONLY what fits right now and makes you feel great! • Make the experience fun: Play music, diffuse oils, light a candle—anything to enhance the vibe and make the job a more pleasant one!
