“Your imagination plus your intuition times your desire and your drive gives you outcomes beyond what you could ever say." Achieving your goals involves some creative math, according to author, artist, and strategic thinker Patti Dobrowolski. At ChiefX Boston last week, Patti emphasized the power of visualization in bridging the gap between your present state and your desired future. Her top tips for tapping into your creative genius? 1️⃣ Daydream: Schedule time for rest and recovery. It benefits your nervous system and helps disengage the amygdala, the brain region responsible for processing fear and anxiety. When the amygdala is less active, your brain has more space for creativity. 2️⃣ Explore your interests: Think of your imagination as a muscle that thrives on creative thinking. To develop it, identify and engage with subjects that genuinely excite you. 3️⃣ Try something new: Break old thinking patterns and build new neural pathways by engaging in new activities. Change up your daily routines, like your commute or breakfast choices. Thank you to all of our speakers and moderators for joining us: Angela Cheng-Cimini 鄭婷婷, Marisa G. Thank you Chief for hosting such a great event. I was so proud to be a small part it and was honored to be on stage with such incredible women. I left with such amazing energy and inspiration ready to take 3 bold steps!
Another useful takeaway and reminder from this session was to “Get the big things done, by getting the small things done”. Another insightful event and a great opportunity to connect and reconnect with fellow CHIEF members and friends! Thanks Caitlin and the whole team!
What an inspiring post! Patti Dobrowolski's insights on the power of visualization and creativity are truly enlightening. I love the idea of scheduling time for daydreaming to give our brains the space they need for creative thinking. It's fascinating how changing up daily routines can build new neural pathways. ChiefX Boston sounds like it was an incredible event with so many valuable takeaways.
I love these tips from Patti! These are great reminders to nurture our creativity. A hugeee thank you indeed to all the speakers for such an enriching experience at ChiefX Boston!
I don't know how many times I watched Patti Dobrowolski TED Talk and how many times I did this exercise in my life. Super helpful to create clarity and action. Chief https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zESeeaFDVSw
