Today on International #DayoftheGirl I’m honoured to share the story of Kamla, an incredible young woman from India who graduated from Room to Read's Girls’ Education Programme. When Kamla's father told her to drop out of school to marry, she staged a hunger strike, negotiated with her parents to continue her education and has gone on to do some incredible things. I had the privilege of meeting Kamla at Room to Read’s London Gala last week, which raised over £2.25 million to provide more than 64,200 children access to a quality education.
