I’m proud to share that I completed an advanced course in law enforcement leadership at FLETC today. It was a master class taught by a cadre of instructors with incredible experience and wisdom. And my classmates are a terrific cohort, most of whom put it on the line every day as sworn agents and officers. It was an incredible honor and privilege to be in the company of such quality people, and time very well spent. I’m reminded of the example of the late Neil Peart, the legendary drummer for the band Rush, and widely considered to be one of the best rock percussionists of all time. At the height of his abilities—he was 42 at the time—he decided to take drum lessons to challenge his habits and improve his technique. Quoth Neil: “What is a master but a master student?” Never stop learning!
Thank you for contributing to the class, giving an excellent presentation, and sharing your hard learned lessons John. Cheers to the spirit of Neil Peart and being a life long learner! Because “all the world’s indeed a stage! And we are merely players!”
I wish I could go back to FLETC one last time to look the campus over but it’s easier to get into the White House
Kudos to you, John. Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely keep that in mind for next training.
Well done!
